Turtle Entertainment GmbH has announced that the prominent eSports Awards will this year be held at gamescom, in Cologne, Germany.
The annual edition of eSports Awards will, just as last year, be held during the gamescom convention in Cologne. Awards will be handed out for numerous categories, such as eSports Player of the Year, Scene Journalist, and eSports Team of the Year.
Last year's edition of the ceremony saw fnatic ace Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund receive a total of two awards, whereas his team received the prestigious eSports Team of the Year award.
Although the exact number of awards have not been averred, it is believed that we will see a similiar sum of prizes which was bestowed last year. Nonetheless, gamescom will be held from 18-22nd of August, attracting thousands of spectators.
Stay locked to our website for further updates regarding the esteemed eSports Awards.
Hope to see it live if possible, it's not that far away from me.
EDIT: I meant the award show.

but markeloff, Edward, gtr and f0rest are my main guesses ofc.
Get right is easily top 5 and when he is in a good day he's just the best, same goes with f0rest
Tbh fx just S U C K and that's why he did what he did. GTR was in a good shape, but Na'Vi guys will reach a tophy after making a huge step forward in esports.

But whatever, you obviously do not visit HLTV.org during events, so you have no idea what kind of content we actually provide, which makes the discussion pointless, but do not say that SK provides more than we do, it is simply not true.

I also find that the same players get interviews too often, I've seen a thousand interviews with cArn and GTR but not one with DSN.
Other sites do coverage from other games. Making a website with news about more games doesn't make it a better site.
It's all about QUALITY not QUANTITY!!!!
THEYRE LATE BTW GET M ON
jk :D
Seriously you think power rankings is important on E-sport websites ? What do you mean by that ? the world rankings of cs pro teams ?
Indepth Interviews LOL are you even coming on Hltv.org often ? Stop trolling in a stupid way guy, there is plenty of good interviews about players, teams, managers, tournament admins and so on. If by Indepth you mean you want to know the sexual scandals of the esport scene i think you don't really understood what's the e-sport spirit.
Features : Omg i'll just say you that Hltv.org is the n1 esport website giving statistics about each pro players in many many tournaments. Then you have few games : the betting system and a new recent one which i think totally seduced esport fans: the dreamteam!
The Pov and demo Section exists since Hltv.org have been created and it's the biggest demos storage online at the moment so saying there is no features is just kidding.
The last one and the stupidest : video interviews (the one made me laugh my ass off litteraly) OMG just check the 4th last news and you'll see one of the only interviews of Carn after the Arbalet Europe...
I hope you understood how stupid was your post, you didnt explore the half of Hltv.org website and you start saying delirious words!
Have a nice day sir.
Ps : yes i am in the HLTV.org Fan Club because i think it's the most serious website about cs.
But the idea of making playbooks would be great.

In my opinion that nothing really matters.
everyone knows there's no doubt that hltv is the best site for CS as we need it.
In China we have an old saying:Go your own way,let others talk!
so,never mind the X,Y,Z@#%$*% awards,
hltv has got the CSers' hearts and nothing's better than it,right?

But what's the point of this award anyway? There are so many projects. Some of them are covering different games, some of them covering only one game.... If I remember correctly there is a user vote? So which site can gather more votes, great! ... Pointless.

- but i think this will go to Edward because he always plays on another level. Markeloff is good, but an AWP-er does not make as many frags as GTR or Edward
eSports player of the year: Flash, he's been untouchable in Starcraft this year
Post edited 2010-05-19 16:18:56
f0rest best player, MAYBE edward
It's probably gonna be a CS player named eSports player of the year, simply due to the staggering amount of big LAN tournaments compared to other games.

so many excellent players!

What an arrogant person ! Yes, ofc, you guys are faster than sk for posting news scene and provide htlv and so much more. But you have to keep in mind that it's NOT only for cs (Warcraft 3 ? Starcraft 2 ? CSS ? COD ?). That's why i hope that you won't win this award because you simply don't deserve it.
Really funny though.
