Counter-Strike legend Emil “HeatoN” Christenssen has announced the creation of his own 'gaming academy'.
Created together with Samsung and Stockholm E-sports Industry, the Heaton Gaming Academy is aimed at helping players with important aspects of the game, such as tactics and teamplay.
Over the next few weeks, Christenssen will release several videos, much like he did for QPAD in recent months.
HeatoN Team Play will be officially launched at DreamHack Summer 2010 this weekend, with a lengthy interview, covering several aspects of his career, already available on YouTube.

The skill is higher now.Players that are now on top ,are better than the players of the past.Plus the game have changed a bit on some tactical things.Spawn could return on an acceptable level,but i dont think the same for Heaton.He has been away for too long.

Well he WAS the BEST!....and he is the best player of all times.....And let me put it this way...in 10 year if CS still is played professional then the player atm like GeT_RigHT f0rest and neo would be alot worse skillwise then the players that will play pro in 10 years from now. Thats just how things go...especially in e-sports that grow so fast because it is so new. he was the best BACK THEN. but now, as the level gets higher and higher, heaton wouldn't be the best. players have gotten better and he hasn't because he has stopped playing. of course i know it's impossible to compare the players from different eras. in 2003 heaton's skill was more than enough to be dominating but now he wouldn't have a shot against f0rest, gtr, edward and probably many other players.

Who cares about how he would play now? When he was dominating, the game was around for what? 3 years? Of course the level was lower. But he played the game just as long as the top players back then, and still dominated. Its impossible to compare a time where players played the game for 3 years and now, where players like neo f0rest etc have been playing for like 8/9 years. I doubt it. He was way ahead of his time and a great player of course, but the skill level today is so much higher than it was before. If he would do a comeback the expectations would be really high, even higher than when SpawN returned to gaming.
