mouz with stand-ins for WCG qualifier
By: MIRAA
Time: 2010-07-09 14:23
Game: Counter-Strike 1.6

mousesports have announced they will use a total of three stand-ins throughout the qualifiers for the World Cyber Games.

The team's backup player, Christian "Blizzard" Chmiel will, as expected, fill the boots of Fatih "gob b" Dayik, who has been ruled out of the qualifier due to nationality issues.

However, mousesports, who exited the ESWC finals in the second group stage, will have to make do without two more players on Saturday as both Roman "roman" Ausserdorfer and Antonio "cyx" Daniloski are unable to play on the first day of the qualifiers.

The German giants have announced that TBH.eSports' Christian "crisby" Schmitt and ESC Gaming star Dominik "d0m AZ" Wrabetz will don the team's colours on Saturday.

The Counter-Strike WCG qualifier will be played online this year due to the organisation's lack of funds to host a proper qualifier for the title.

Despite the tournament being held, it is still unknown whether the winner will actually fly out to the WCG finals, which will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center, in Los Angeles from September 30 to October 3.

mousesports will feature the following line-ups at the WCG qualifiers:

Saturday:

Navid "Kapio" Javadi
Manuel "Tixo" Makohl
Christian "Blizzard" Chmiel
Christian "crisby" Schmitt
Dominik "d0m AZ" Wrabetz

Sunday:

Navid "Kapio" Javadi
Manuel "Tixo" Makohl
Christian "Blizzard" Chmiel
Roman "roman" Ausserdorfer
Antonio "cyx" Daniloski

2010-07-09 14:36:38
Biggest esport scene? Since when?

Forgetting those in asia? :)
2010-07-09 15:03:51

2010-07-09 15:15:41
I think we can agree on that :)

I thought Sweden had the best e-sport scene financially.
2010-07-09 18:11:54
but that's Germany where esport were showed in normal TV, ESL was invented there and got biggest league of ESL, every month IFNG, biggest organisations are based in Germany (mTw, SK, MYM and more) and they got many sponsors
but yea, Sweden and Germany are on similar level
2010-07-10 09:20:50
We don't, almost all organisations are German. They just contract Swedish teams.
2010-07-26 20:58:18
That's because about 90% of the germans are online heroes :)
2010-07-10 03:39:50

2010-07-09 15:40:05
gob b?
2010-07-09 15:01:07
Christian "Blizzard" Chmiel will, as expected, fill the boots of Fatih "gob b" Dayik, who has been ruled out of the qualifier due to nationality issues.

gob b dont have German citizenship, so he can't attend WCG in german team
2010-07-09 15:16:55
I can't understand why he just doesnt get a german citizenship. This has been a problem for too long.
2010-07-09 15:23:37
I only know that to get german citizenship you have to live in German for atleast 8 years and you refuse your previous citizenship (which for gob b is turkish - maybe that's the problem)
2010-07-09 16:24:24
Wow, here in Norway it's far more easier to gain a citizenship. Poor Gob, it's a hard choice to neglect his own country.
2010-07-09 18:58:04
Unfortunately, in Sweden as well. xD
2010-07-26 20:59:23
In Denmark it's 10 years and then they have to do a test about a lot of random danish crap :/
2010-07-09 20:04:36
in Poland you have to be football player who want to play in national team and President will surly give you Polish citizenship ...
2010-07-09 21:27:37
i loled
2010-07-09 21:52:04
hahah rofl :D
2010-07-09 22:17:19
Roger Guerreiro? xD
2010-07-26 20:59:41
that's right!
2010-07-26 21:13:19
He's decent. ;)
2010-07-26 21:19:13
no gob b = difficult
2010-07-09 15:02:36
They've won the WCG qualifier numerous of times without him! :)
2010-07-26 21:00:05
go home
2010-07-09 15:03:02
They home...
2010-07-09 17:57:04

2010-07-09 15:31:44
sunday seems okai but saturday is like o,O
2010-07-09 15:38:59
omg no gob and no roman, and in a huge slump super fail.
2010-07-09 15:47:07
why doesn't gob b play WCG for Turkey? :o
2010-07-09 15:54:29
why should he? win a qualifier with a sucky team and then go home after the first match. that isn't cool.
2010-07-09 20:05:43
well, it would be fun :/ no one is expecting him to win anyway, the qualifiers are an easy win, i guess. their trip to the US would be sponsored anyway!
2010-07-11 11:06:56
I just don't think he will waste his time on it :/
2010-07-11 12:41:40
yeah i guess
2010-07-11 19:27:35
I don't think it would be an easy win. Dark Passage is easily the best team in Turkey and I don't think they would split their lineup for just one tournament so he would have to play with a lower team or a mix-team and they wouldn't win.
2010-07-26 21:00:59
I suppose you're right too. However, you can't say DarkPassage is good enough to even get close to mouz. DP would certainly learn more if gob b plays with them because I'm sure gob b would atleast get DP's basics right.

2010-07-27 05:33:46
They are skilled enough to have their basics right, I promise you. Of course they would learn something from it, but it would probably not be worth screwing someone's morale by saying "You won't be playing WCG for us this year because we are bringing in gob b..".
2010-07-27 23:54:26
Hahaha, good point :p They're two players short right now though, so..
2010-07-28 10:51:30
Yeah just saw that too, I still don't think it will happen though. ;)
2010-07-28 13:25:49
Oh, very bad news. :(
Saturday's line-up suxx, but sunday's is good.
ALTERNATE are very glad.
2010-07-09 15:55:18
sadness
2010-07-09 15:56:00
which teams are playing in this qualifier? can anyone link the tournament site to where the brackets/groupstage are or something?
2010-07-09 15:59:07

2010-07-09 16:03:05

2010-07-09 19:36:55
You can have two passports :)
2010-07-09 17:05:03
To become a German citizen you have to refuse your other citizenship.
2010-07-26 21:01:44

2010-07-09 17:02:37
Stop. Just stop
2010-07-09 17:05:16
mouz doesnt participate in this qualifier because wcg germany doesnt allow crisby and dom to play for mouz. so mouz decided not to play
2010-07-09 17:04:07
Sad but true!
2010-07-09 17:52:34
Why?
2010-07-26 21:02:15
dom az is not that bad as i know, but who is crisby ?
2010-07-09 17:25:27

2010-07-26 21:02:40
ohh I never thought id see ins in mouz ;)
2010-07-09 17:35:46
oh,that's ok :D they're pretty good :P
2010-07-09 17:51:38
So the matches will be played online... gob b will sit behind their backs and regulate their game :)

lol
2010-07-09 21:13:57
where is GOB B?
2010-07-09 21:52:26
He does not have permission to play as he doesn't have a german passport.
2010-07-09 22:00:26
Actually mouz does not participate at that tourney as they would be playing with 2 stand-in's the whole tourney.
Btw. blizzard still is a god in CS and he can easily replace anyone on the current line-up *joking*. But from all the legends of CS that have retired he is the one with the most cosistent performance on a very high level.
2010-07-09 22:02:54
He could replace Kapio imo. Though I'd rather see d0m AZ. :)
2010-07-26 21:03:58
on the last finals with Blizzard, he did great, very great.
2010-07-09 22:13:51
d0m AZ is a fucking monster. :D
