The third map between fnatic and Natus Vincere has been postponed, as the venue will be cutting power and internet.
Natus Vincere and fnatic will be resuming the semi-final at the IEM5 Global Challenge Shanghai tomorrow, as the venue will be cutting power and internet today at 17:30local time (11:30CET). This means that the third map, which will be de_inferno, will be played tomorrow. The teams have to show up at 08:30local time (02:30CET) to set up and the match will start as soon as possible.
HLTV.org was also informed by Michal "Carmac" Blicharz from ESL, that the final will take place at 13:00local time (07:00CET) tomorrow, instead of the scheduled time 14:30local time (08:30CET). The change comes as ChinaJoy informed ESL about the schedule change for the exhibition, meaning ESL had to move the final, to prevent power and internet being cut at the time of the match.
The third place match, which is scheduled to 10:00local time (04:00CET), is expected to start approximately around this time. It is important to note that ESL had no way of preventing this, as the venue have strict rules about when people have to be out and when power/internet will be cut.
You know what i mean.
so they won't :)))
There are tens of thousands of people and dozens of gaming companys everyday.
Close at 5pm everyday, which is stipulate.
I hope everyone can keep calm.
and China is a great country.
but i already know that...
seriously i mean i just commented on the situation , not on anyone in person so dont know what is the problem here with some ppl.
Okay they play 2 maps a day and they can't even finish the 2nd one?!?!

Does the Chinese government not allow electricity to be used in the afternoon or wtf?
Everyone include ourselves hate the Chinese government. But this really has nothing to do with the govern.
now you got 11:30 CET, so 15h
and 7:00 (europe time ) will start the final
4:00 (europe time ) 3rd place match

Don't know why these peoples over reacting so much?
But you guys are doing awesome work keep it up thanks for covering so many events for us.
even if the match isnt postponed, ppl would still flame each other about whos winning and whos losing :D
Anyway, China or chinese ppl doesnt deserve your flaming here. If you want to blame, just blame the Event organizers who's not prepared for something like this.
looks like racism already becomes a habit for many peoples here, thats just sad :[
No one but the orgnizer is to blame.
They just need to stop insulting each other and calm down.
- Map choice
- Starting sides
- starix computer shuts down when fnatic is having momentum.
- The whole match gets postponed while fnatic is having momentum.
But yes, fnatic were cruising to victory in the overtime.
How sweet! :)
But if you want to say that some of it was deliberately done, then you are wrong. Very wrong.

Why the Earth is like a ball.
Post edited 2010-07-31 13:04:17
I hope this answers it :)
Well it looks exactly like that - they didn't think about it. They made a bad schedule and that's it...
And now, either fnatic or Navi, tomorrow will have to come to play 1 map, then go back to hotel, and then, several hours later, come back to play the final.
btw this thread is just ridiculous. Can't believe what's going on...
People saying "fuck china" need to get a life. I don't see people from this part of the world doing the same when timings are bad for them.

its not anybody's fault, its just the event organizer is not prepared for this.
correct me if im wrong :)
:D
Post edited 2010-07-31 11:36:52
You can't expect a BO3 match to finish in 2 hours. They should have either started it earlier or postponed it to sunday. In my eyes this is not just unluck but incompetence by ESL
God...do you even think before posting things like this?
if you do get it , :).
If there is some play on words like "poor"... well I didn't get it earlier. If it was something else, you are smart. Great.
And I am not your tard bro. I am not even your bro. Thank you :)

its as basic as it is. its common knowledge that china is the largest growing democracy. its common knowledge that the one of the richest countries has enough electricity resources for important cities like shanghai. power outages on an expo is something wierd.
p.s. google it, china is the electronics capital of the world.
like i said dnt reply dumb! , you did, now dont reply dumb to this too!, when did blonds surface in india.
This was NOT a power outage. ChinaJoy expo has fixed closing times and every event happening inside it has to follow it like IEM5. Organisers knew before hand that power and internet won't be available after a certain time. There is nothing so unexpected or bizarre about it.
Whether you give monkey shit or not, let me point it out that you are indeed dumb. China is the world's largest growing democracy? Are you kidding me?
You missed too many lessons. That's why you shouldn't sleep in classes.
Im not that smart, so could you explain it to me?
You've just misunderstood some comment from random troll and china haters.
The venues[ChinaJoy] already has a schedule, and the third map of this match is running out of time to be played. [Blame IEM for making the match start late]
And since there's nobody supposed to be in the venues after the schedule is off, thats why they're gonna cut the electricity.
Just for your information, IEM event isnt the only event that held in ChinaJoy, So thats why they must follow the rules.
So thats really funny if there's someone who think that the chinese government setting a limit for using any electricity power, since we all must be already know that china has the world largest electricity-generating plant @three gorges dam :p.
And IEM is held In the ChinaJoy,so when chinajoy closes,IEM has to be closed.
Internet and electricity are like food and water these days, I don't know y organizers couldn't arrange for them.
If I was WMF or Tyloo, and it was my home event, I would have let the play continue, even if it meant bearing the expenses by ourselves.
Just doesn't speaks well for the country
Its not about organisers or the government or the teams.
If you took some time out to read what Chinese guys are writing here, you would understand.
So, chinajoy is such a huge expo, including EA,Blizzard, etc, those companies are showing their best & leatest stuffs on this event, compare to this, this whole event can not leave the door and internet open JUST FOR the IEM.and there's a good reason to close this event at 17:00(local time).it's wasn't too early, right? But anyways,i just thought this math shoul started a bit earlier. We are the first witness to this kinda of "amazing" bo2-bo1 game:D
calam1ty did explain the same thing as you to the person above him.

Feel free to use it as the new slogan.
Its so simple mate, there are trolls everywhere and China is no exception. Why must we take that trolls comment seriously? That would make us even dumber than those idiot, isnt it? :)
Chinese gov make me feel disappointed.

I would like to travel to china someday.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jiuzhaigou_Valley
enjoy the match. anyhow we like this game.
comon guys every country has got their own problems , dont tell me that ur country is perfect cause thats a bullshit , so just respect their habit..
i guess that this guys that are saying fuck china never played in a shitty i-net university in which every 3 minutes u get dropped from the i-net , just try it out and then talk..
This thread began with a huge amount of "fuck china" comments and then I guess all the Chinese decided to respond in big numbers :)
The issue is clearly explained in HLTV article but I don't think people read it before commenting. They just want to blame China and write every idiotic thing they have heard about it.
and then people like cman_cn...replying to all comments..only aggravating the problem...
don't know when this will stop...
is that the hltv.org I ever know?
it looks like a psychiatric hospital.
nice,i learnt a lot of new cheap shots.
If I still in school,my teacher will be proud of me!

so the organizer close whenever it wants.
they gonna lose anyway! :p
where does it end? i mean.. cmon. use ur brains, and if you want to attack someone verbally, alteast do it to that person, and stop going into countrys. it's foolish, cause it's not about that. at all
its not good that they postponed the match. and for all you retards, PC wont open without electricity.
if its too early, just dont watch it (u wont die, seriously) and stop complaining and flaming china.
would it be better if that tournament wouldnt exist? (whoever answers "yes" is still kid, sry)
at least we get to see chinas talent.
ohh and grow up kids o_O
please note that this event is held in the exhibition centre, it's not open in the evening due to security or something..
Nix says final and 3rd place match would be covered by stream not HLTV.
that would be nice if zotob's covering the match with their HLTV, though it would be laggy as hell :[
it is a news from china
no explain .
Since he himself doesnt know whats he talking about. :D
No offense to Chinese people, if u dont understand what i mean. :)
Those who want to quarrel, your mother call u back for dinner.
Chinese slang, no explain.
I think most of you here should take a few deep breaths and chill out. There are glaring misconceptions about the event here:
1) China has nothing to do with the matter, not the people, not the government. The ChinaJoy show closes at 17:00 for the public and the halls need to be empty at 17:30. Around that time they shut down power and Internet since no one is supposed to be there.
2) Normally at ESL events the show organiser allows us to stay past closing time and finish the matches. You don't notice those things if you don't show up to an event. Event delays are a very normal occurrence (ask Nixon).
3) Next to Counter-Strike there is a DotA and a Warcraft 3 Global Challenge. CS is not isolated with its own schedule because it shares the big screen presence with the other two games.
Na'Vi and Fnatic started a little bit behind schedule and dragged on a little longer due to a Na'Vi player's PC problem and the overtime.
4) Except for the bad time of the match for the Europeans, I do not see what the complaining is about. Matches can be played over more than one day in many sports.
In 2005 Real Madrid under coach Wanderlei Luxemburgo had a match against Real Sociedad San Sebastian which was interrupted by a stadium lights failure. They played out the remaining 6 minutes of so of the game on another day (and scored the needed goal to win 2-1).
It is commonplace in Grand Slam tennis competitions for matches to take place over two days. Last Wimbledon there was a match played over three days.
Of course this is very uncommon, but other than the 3rd map being played in the middle of the night for Europeans there is nothing to complain about.
Be positive, guys!

They knew who is going to play and a clash between these two teams will go into the 3rd map. They should've started the match 2 hours earlier and there will be no problem.
So don't blame China governement, blame IEM organizers. It is their fault
we meet idiots from time to time, place to place. so doing nothing is the best reation, giving the finger means no more than getting involved into trouble.
Trying to let go their anger on their government on people who live in democratic countries, how pathetic.
or cc491873412 earlier...I am pretty sure more than half of them are not chinese :)
its the internet, just ignore that that isn't worth recognising
And I dont understand what basis that made you could concluded that they're releasing their disappointment for their country?
In fact, I believe many of them love their country as much as we love our own country. :)
There are tens of thousands of people and dozens of gaming companys everyday.
Close at 5pm everyday, which is stipulate.
I hope everyone can keep calm.
and China is a great country.
A lot of countries around the world are using extremist politics "killing" everyday human rights.
You shouldn't love your country only because you were born there. When you grow up or live in Europe or other free countries you will see how stupid are political extremist countries and understand the fake nationalism that government uses to hush people.
Only my point of view.

Each country has different issues, you cann't deny that.
About China, I'm not saying bad things of China but bad types of government. China is a great country with long history. I just hate extremist politic that oppresses people. I'm for the people.

Please don't observe China through tainted glasses.China is a very beautiful country.
If they do not it may be because the timezone is not working right and thus you should select a compatible working one.
