4Kings in the market for new team

Team Manager of 4Kings tells HLTV.org that they are on the lookout for a new Counter-Strike team.

British-based 4Kings have been without a Counter-Strike team since October, 2008, which then consisted of names such as Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen and Jirka "jigetus" Ryhti.

4Kings made the headlines in March earlier this year, when the former cbteam squad were linked up with joining the organization. All cbteam members had then been added to the organization's website, but the deal never went through.

Contrary to popular belief, we haven't been completely away from it all. Our QuakeLive team have remained as active as ever during our down-time and recently beat fnaticMSI in the EMS TDM final, so I'd like to give a major credit to their hard work and determination during difficult times.
4Kings has undergone a rehaul. We've taken elements from the past in terms of colours and a similar logo scheme, along with the brand new website. Coupled with this, comes a change in management.
In addition to my return to the management, we have some fresh new faces in the form of Jason Potter and Jonathan Leake. I'd like to thank Shayan Taleb for his time in the 4Kings management as he makes his departure.

Not sure why 4K have been relaunched yet again, the names been ruined enough as it is.

Having to ask teams to email in applications is an all time low for one of the former great esports brands.

I hope the people behind the newest reincarnation of 4Kings treat it with the respect it deserves and gets it back up to the level it once was, although that would be one hell of an achievement.

I'd just like to say sorry to anyone who is having a hard time loading the website, we hoped the launch would be unproblematic but we're experiencing massive network traffic - which is likely down to DDoS attacks.

I see what you mean to say but what I refer to is that the .swe .sca .ger addition usually reflected to homogeneous or heterogeneous composition of the team. If the team did in the past, see .sca, for me it does not make sense to name it .swe if it wasn't 100% Swedish.

I am not in charge of deciding what team features what flag but usually it is the flag of the majority of the members or of the organization they play for, if I am not mistaken.

well the line-up with HeatoN, Potti, Fisker, Ahl and ElemeNt was the legendary SK.Swe, which dominated '03 in a way that no other team has ever done (or at least that's what it's become to now). Don't ask me why they called it .swe but they did, maybe because SK.Swe was there before ElemeNt was brought in, i believe with MedioN instead...

I think gamers that join organisations expect too much, you see countless times organisations sending a team to a LAN, the team then does terrible and fails, the team leaves the organisation crying about not getting enough support.

I think we need to see more teams put up a real fight and giving their organisations some decent results before getting free trips around the world only to fail and come back home empty handed.
