blomstar returns in ICSU

Former Ninjas in Pyjamas and EYEballers talent Fabian "blomstar" Åkermark has announced his return in the new ICSU team.

The Swedish player, winner of the national QTOUR championship in 2007, has been out of action for some time, having been seen for the last time with Games4u.se at the IOL Playoffs last year.

Joel "emilio" Mako, who has played for Hardwire in the past, former Begrip duo Mikail "eksem" Bill and Danniél "dalito" Morales and ex-GameHeaven member Mahyar "Noodles" Samadi make up the rest of the squad.

Åkermark's new team, who will for now don the colours of ICSU, one of the most prestigious names in Sweden, have been confirmed for ASUS Summer, but their involvement in the tournament will depend on the financial support they can get.

The ICSU quintet have been linked to Begrip Gaming, but the Swedish team have guaranteed they are still looking for an organisation to support their adventure in Ukraine.

"We are not going to the tournament as Begrip, well if [Begrip owner] Individ  asks us to play for them, and helps us finance the trip and all, then we are interested, because all we are doing now is trying to find an organisation that we can be in." Joel "emilio" Mako told HLTV.org.

Quizzed on the team's goals for ASUS Summer, Mako confessed that his team are not a one-event project for the tournament in Russia and that his side will be well prepared for the event.

"Well, I have for a long time now been playing with both Noodles and eksem, trying to build a team, and now we finally got our last 2 players in dalito and blomstar," he said. "It is not just a team for ASUS Summer, but we will start there, then the future will lead us.

"We have been playing a lot together before, so the team chemistry is on top. We are planning to bootcamp a week before the tournament actually starts, so we are hoping for the best, let's just wait and see how that goes."

When he was at his best at around 2006/2007 he was easily one of the best players in sweden. I remember when he got back to sweden after being away for atleast a year, and he played an event for fun and he was still insane even tho he had been away for a long time. I think in some time he will be among the best again.

If I remember correctly he shoutcasted 1 event for ESL TV, I had a positive impression and he seemed like smart player from what I heard him say there.
