H2k Gaming have issued a press release addressing the situation concerning their Counter-Strike division.
News first broke when HLTV.org published a report surrounding H2k's Counter-Strike team and how the relationship between the players and organization was damaged.
The following days H2k made several headlines, firstly another report which indicated that the H2k squad was about to make a move and link up with Norwegian-based Lions. This was followed by a statement claiming that the team would not go anywhere, and that the players were still bound to H2k.
Björn "threat" Pers, H2k's newest addition, also considered as an 'unstable piece' by the organization, later told HLTV.org that the team will attend the MSI BEAT IT finals under another name.
H2k-Gaming have now issued a press release addressing the above-mentioned incidents and states that all eight players are free to go as long as they fulfill their parts of the contracts. (Pers is not contracted).
Read the full press release below:
"As we saw several false rumors and statements coming by the last weeks by so called “H2k staff”, we’d like to hereby release an official press release to end this soap about the Counter-Strike 1.6 team", H2k-Gaming Chief Executive Officer Rudy van der Reest said.
"I like to point out that the decision of taking in Bjorn Pers (threat) was a pure choice of the team and we did not hated this choice ourselves, because of course the team decides on what they think is good for the team’s future. I did not understand the teams decision completely but we want to stress out that we don't have any issues with both Markus and Bjorn press nor with Lions (Nostra) seeing we had talks with all of them only some days ago."
"It is a fact that the trust between both parties (the H2k organization and the team) is not there. H2k lost their motivation in cooperating together and we hereby also want to notify that every player in the CS lineup will be be released from their contract as long as they come up to the deals and agreements they signed on their contracts."
"Some players have broken strict rules as written in their contract. Playing for another team without the approval of our partners and the H2k staff is only one of them. All 9 players can be released from their contracts if they AND the new organizations where they want to play for contact H2k and discuss the terms for releasing."
"Some rumors were written about the financial status of H2k Gaming. With strong partners and other H2k brands behind the Gaming organization there is no reason for us to explain more."
For now, these eight players are still bound to their contracts:
Richard "Xizt" Landström
Niklas "niko" Johansson
Frej "kHRYSTAL" Sjöström
Emil "FYRR73" Karlsson
Björn "threat" Pers (not contracted)
Markus "pronax" Wallsten (inactive)
Samuel "Zyppe" Martinsson (inactive)
Danny "pop" Oldenburg (inactive)
Jim "zneel" Andersson (inactive)
EPS Nordic 3
Swedish Housemafia:
Faruk 'pita' Pita
Marcus 'zet' Sundstrom
Markus 'pronax' Wallsten
Samuel 'Zyppe' Martinson
Danny 'pop' Oldenburg
Jonathan 'lidde' Lidgren

After all, I do not know the exact story from both parties and I guess it's the same story for approx. 99% of the people who commented, positively or negatively, on the organization. So I won't say anything at all, but good luck for both parties in finding a proper and fair solution, for now!

Want a statement from the players also. Not just from the h2k organisation.
If the h2k organisation for example hasn't done their part of what's written in the contract then they can't come and say the h2k players should do what they signed in the contract.
h2k is fishy !
rofl. get some knowledge about cs players. fury is only famous because of his csmovie of online frags. He haven't even performed on lan ffs.
and molander..... HAHAHHAAAHAHA give me a break. semi-elites in an elite team ? rofl
I think `show respect` is a rule of life. If you don't stick to this rule, maybe you will lose very large somethings in terms of your personality.

Remember H2K.dk with whiMp, XciteD, KK, Morf4R and zone I think it was back when they finished 2nd at Intel Extreme Masters :P?
As far as I know the H2k organization got the money, and the danes never saw all of them =(
It is a point to bear in mind I guess...

Does he still play once a while with you guys btw (for fun ofc)? :D
"If we take the prizemoney you won you have to be silent and not say ANYTHING to ANYONE or else we will sue !!!"
with like microscopic text that is invisible to the eye and you have to read with a microscope.
or with an invisible inkpen.
H2K produced many great Swedish players atm, hope the organization will find talented fresh blood.. GL to the guys, I am a fan of them :)
they have just signed them from Begrip or elsewhere.
if any organisations produces talents it's Begrip.

When Fnatic recruited him everyone said "good move / decent pick up" and stuff like that. He played a role he isnt used to (not calling strats) and was often played a different style of CS (not his own since he wasnt calling strats).
Threat played perfectly fine for LemonDogs and other teams before he joined Fnatic (or else they wouldnt have picked him up). So there is no reason why he wont return to that form. I think to put it simply, he didnt fit in with the Fnatic style of CS.
Goodluck to him,a and i hope he plays great.

`So there is no reason why he wont return to that form. I think to put it simply, he didnt fit in with the Fnatic style of CS.` +1
Rudy van der Reest and Jack Benard didn't pay a single dollar to the players.
H2k stop telling bullshit and tell the scene what big mess it is in H2k
