Only two days after Joni "Freon" Huumo was left alone to create a new team to represent PlayZone, a new squad has been settled.
It was firstly reported on Tuesday that the Finnish squad of Playzone had called it quits, after a dispute between Joni "Freon" Huumo and Kimmo "BASiC" Fagerholm on whether to stick with their former team or commit to new players had occured.
The incident ultimately saw Fagerholm put professional gaming on the shelf, and Huumo was left alone to create a new team. Huumo has however spent the two days well, and PlayZone have now introduced their new stall of players.
The team has added three of Huumo's former Soltec teammates, Atte "VIDI" Hyväkkä, Ari "spin" Raimi and Timi "aslak" Verkkoperä. This followed by the introduction of former munkka ace Aleksi "allu" Rundberg.
"As we move to a season with a bit less official "offline" events we decided to give this new team a chance to use our spots in the EPS group stage and IEM Main Round, to give them the time they need "online" to prepare for any offline events that might be in the future .. This is probably the Finns last chance in PlayZone so therefore I wish them every success!!", PlayZone CEO Kristopher "Sight" Smith told HLTV.org.
PlayZone now have:
Joni "Freon" Huumo
Atte "VIDI" Hyväkkä
Ari "spin" Raimi
Timi "aslak" Verkkoperä
Aleksi "allu" Rundberg
The organization's newest additions will appear in the ESL Pro Series Nordic season three, as well as the IEM5 European Championship Main Round.
