Sweden is once again the European Nations Championship victors, this time after finishing off Ukraine in a 2-0 manner.
Team Sweden gained the best initial start by posting a scoreline of 7-1 following several bomb plants which Ukraine could not cope with. The latter team had close to no chance on taming the Swedes, and were overcome by a 12-3 score to half-time.
Swapping sides, fnatic star Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund played a major part in securing the first round, having set himself ready for an Ukrainian push on Bombsite A. This furthermore led to Sweden snatching the following three rounds, closing down de_inferno to a 16-3 scoreline.
Moving on to de_train, Sweden once again came off to a flying start, scoring five straight rounds, the last inspired by Niklas "niko" Johansson and Björn "threat" Pers. The seventh round was even more impressive, seeing Marcus "Delpan" Larsson displaying what he is capable of with the AWP, slicing down four Ukrainian contenders.
During the remainder of the first half, Ukraine managed to seal four rounds, but were still overwhelmed by Sweden's eleven. The match was ultimately concluded with Sweden scoring another five rounds, while the Ukrainians only managed two.
This leaves Sweden racking up a total of five European Nations Championship victories throughout the years, having won the tournament in 2004, 2006, 2008, 2009 and finally 2010.
ASUS European National Championship 2010 final standings:
1.
Sweden - €6,000
2.Ukraine - €3,000
3.Denmark - €2,000
4.Russia - €1,200
Edit: Threat did an awesome job as IGL!

Swedish B-team steamroll the A-team of Ukraine!
Somebody pick up this guy ffs...
Niko was just amazing. And THREAT... mb fnatic not his team.
Pathetic game from Blade. Like Overdrive said Blade is too self-confident and guys from NAVI have much more experience and they just could ignored him.
Zeus
Craft1k
Edward
Mark
Ange1
Could be much more intresting lineup to watch with better result.
Anyway, Sweden n1. GJ.

delpan show surprised me very much that today he is the best awp of swe, one of the most complete players in the world DELPANZIKA!
delpan nice
and without f0rest, that's pretty impressive.
funny thing is, I never thought for one moment that Sweden couldn't win ENC, even with this team (which wasn't BAD, it's just not their best).
I guess Swedish players are sooo used to play gathers and shit with each other that at the end of they day, they have the edge on other national mix teams.
niko was amazing
they got so many talens like -> f0rest - get_right - dsn - gux - carn - face - allen - walle - robban - moddi - manne - fyr73 - threat - xizt - niko - khrystal - delpan - hyvlarn - dennis - pronax - pop - huggan - pinne - zneel - barrbarr - zet - pita -blomstar- kvicken- ahl - zyppe - jaegern - tentpole - arci - ins - snajdan - spawn - heaton.
norway don't got the half of players at same level even if the oldschoolers was back.
But you konw, Heaton, Spawn, jaegarn etc etc, isn´t talents anymore, living legends i would say :)
But otherwhise, Sweden got at least twice as mouch talent players compare to all other nations i think :P :)
RUSSIA: hooch romjke ed1k fox hel1 dober lex dosia Ze77a :DD
Ukraine: craft1k Edward mark zeus Senya, angel xaoc lmbt PINGUIN :DDD
DK: TRACE!!! ave zonic friis minet ........
How can Sweden be this good? It's really cool. And even more so for me since I'm not following the sport that closely any more.
Niko have always been good in my mind but you never saw him in teams like NiP, SK, Team9. Get_right have also always been pretty good but him and threat have always been Semi-Elite for as long as I have followed the sport so it's kinda amazing for me to see these player now defending Sweden. They have gotten so good in the last 2-3 years. I mean, a few years back threat, Niko, Get_Right would not have stood a chance against another top team in Sweden. Team9 and such would have kicked their ass. Now the Semi-Elite player from a few years back have become today's top players.
And Delpan is even more amazing.
Many of you don't know but he was the biggest CHEATER in Sweden. There are endless demos and movies of him cheating against other teams. But apparently he was pretty good without cheat and has proven himself on LAN and now he is one of the best. That's totally amazing. I can't actually believe that Delpan is defending Sweden. It's... so odd :S
We.. GJ Sweden. Let 2011 be a year of Great Victories and Glory too!
