FireGamers came from the Lower Bracket to pick up two consecutive maps and win the Brazilian World Cyber Games qualifier.
A flying start from FireGamers on de_train saw them put an impenetrable wall in front of their opponents, as CNB could never break through FG's defence, no matter the bombsite they tried to attack. With every FG player pulling off big numbers, and Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo doing his usual sniping job, a perfect first half put them up 15-0 at the break.
CNB knew they had a mountain to climb to get anything out of this first map, but a clearly disheartened side was the one to appear in the second half, which allowed FG to pick up the solitary round they needed and walk out 16-0 winners.
On de_dust2, CNB-Gaming started off the brighter, but FireGamers' strong attacking play put their opponents at bay from the third round on. Arthur "prd" Resende was the only in-form player for his side, and it was thanks to them that his team were down by just five rounds at half time.
In the second half, FireGamers came out strongly and won the opening four rounds, and though CNB still tried to respond, making it 1-4, it was too little, too late, as FG got the last two rounds they needed to win it 16-6.
