American side compLexity have announced the immediate release of their Counter-Strike team.
compLexity had in late March this year announced the creation of their new Counter-Strike team, which then consisted of the former two Loaded members David "Xp3" Garrido and Scott "evolution" Cavallero, followed by Jeff "hero" Mettetal.
The last two, Thomas "thoMz" Garcia and Derek "dboorN" Boorn, were initially a part of the organization's lineup just one week before the above-mentioned announcement - another project which also saw its disbandment.
The Evil Geniuses Master's Cup winners later added former x3o star Andrew "Irukandji" Timmermann, replacing Scott "evolution" Cavallero in the process.
It has now become known that one of the compLexity players had missed his flight to Beijing, apparently forgetting his visa, where the team was supposed to attend the MSI BEAT IT finals. This incident also led to two other members intentionally missing their flights, something the organization did not take lightly.
"This type of incompetence and outright disrespect for a tournament organizer flies in the face of everything compLexity stands for and will not be tolerated", reads the compLexity website."
The compLexity management furthermore adds that their team has been the "most difficult" group dealing with as managers, pointing out constant turmoil and finger pointing within the squad.
"However, that being said, the group as a collective has been the most difficult we, as managers, have ever dealt with. There was constant turmoil, in-fighting and finger pointing. Rather than taking our advice and direction to develop a core group of five loyal players, the team consistently insisted on roster changes, even threatening to retire if not given their way."
"Against our better judgment, and in the interest of maintaining a North American Counter-Strike team, we acquiesced and gave our newest roster one more chance at proving themselves. This final act of disrespect to our organization, eSports and the tournament organizers at MSI BEAT IT has left us with no choice but to release the squad."
compLexity boasted the following quintet:
David "Xp3" Garrido
Andrew "Irukandji" Timmerman
Thomas "thoMz" Garcia
Derek "dboorN" Boorn
Jeff "hero" Mettetal
Whether the MSI BEAT IT organizers will summon another team to suffice for compLexity's absence is currently unknown, but HLTV.org will keep you posted as soon as anything breaks.

somehow through all the EG fanboys and ego bust-a-nutters like evolution, compLexity got a bad reputation. people don't know what theyre all about, and have been pointlessly hopping on the bandwagon. go look through the demo section of gotfrag and you'll see the kind of support that POV/x3o/ex-coL used to have as they tore up the american scene throughout 2008 and 2009.
unlike the old col/current EG, this coL team never got anything handed to them. no organization decided their lineup for them. they started as a team of friends when they entered the CEVO-Professional Placement tournament as Paragon of Virtue (POV). none of these guys had done anything exceptional up until that time.
Not only did they upset most of their opponents to win the CEVO Placement Tournament, they attended the IEM III Finals in Los Angeles in their first tournament as a team and took down teams like mTw and x3o/Gravitas (#1 US team at the time). After that tournament they were picked up by their first major sponsor, x3o. The lineup that signed was Irukandji, hero, savi0r, thoMz, and Ninespot.
In their first year alone as a team they went on to win the first season of ESEA, 1st place in Cevo Professional, the x3o Winter Classic LAN (beating every top US team in attendance), placed 2nd in the second season of ESEA Invite, 5th/6th at EMIII: Los Angeles (beating x3o and mTw), 2nd at EMIII: Philadelphia (finishing behind mibr), 2nd Kode5 US, and the list goes on.
They were top 2 in the country when they joined with coL, but when EG was in europe, southamerica, etc training and bootcamping (because they all have no jobs), coL was playing online and going to school. this is the only reason EG ever became the better team and everyone knows it. Once again you can go through the gotfrag demo section and see all the times POV beat coL and x3o beat EG before the compLexity phase.
People want to bash the fact that coL changed their fifth player so many times. But you know what? they would have never found dboorN if they didn't experiment, and they would have never gotten thoMz back from gravitas. every move they made has made them better. they got thoMz for evo the first time around, and thoMz is 1 million times the player evo is. then they got back the IGL who led them through 2 years of success for evo, another right choice by the team and for the team. the fact of the matter is, they have only improved with their lineup changes, and people need to respect their decisions..especially when theyve been the right ones.
they were great LONG before compLexity decided to pick them up and buy them out from the x3o organization. they earned everything they accomplished up until this point, and theyre good because of who they are, not because of the tag they wear, and certainly not because of anything evolution ever did.
I sincerely hope they find a top organization and stick together, because they honestly deserve to keep playing together. unless coL picks up Loaded, there won't be any worthy organizations at this time. It would be great if x3o decided to return to the American 1.6 scene and pick up these guys, or even another dead organization to return to back these guys.
ok, sorry, now i will try to read it :P

Sad shit from the players...causing problems to their team as well as tournament organizers.
It will also be a great chance for Pauly to shine in international tournaments!
People warned coL against picking him up and they end up paying the price for it.
hero's a great player. he's extremely intelligent and his entire team has always looked up to him in every situation. not to mention he outawped everyone in the US as a "stand-in" awper when mehLer got replaced. he's rose to the occasion every time, but he gets teased by all the tough guy American players because he's a bit of a geek.
if anyone hasn't noticed, players like Warden and fRoD are complete douchebags in and out of the game...no one on coL has ever been like that (other than evo). the only difference is that hero is an easy target for getting made fun of because hes not considered one of the "old school classic american stars". he's one of the new blood players, and anyone that teases his wishes for a fact that they were as good as him.
sorry if im fanboying too much, but whats an even bigger joke about the American CS scene is a bunch of kids acting like jocks when theyre no better than hero in or out of the game. hero's been pounding on these kids with a full-time high paying job taking up all of his time. he's actually a really nice and funny guy if youve ever seen him at LAN, and he's a great player.
lolz at tough guyz playing cs

evolution factor? :D
Btw i don't support this idea i think they could do with NA roster but they should keep drew and perhaps xp3 +3
Would be really odd to see... What do I know... A Finnish player? I mean, take a guy like Lurppis. He wouldn't belong in an "American Organization".
Wait a minute...
Maybe they're just interested in getting the best possible team after all :O
That would require going overseas at this point in time.
i feel like this article is a little bias but hey what are you going to do
We need some interview here!

You posted this one first, I see.
Is it fun constantly copy-pasting your own posts to get as many people as possible to see them? :-)
Hope they spawn a new lineup soon. :)
Man you're just so full of yourself ...

Yep cheats, oh wait...
You say that you love this industry and hope to spend the rest of your life as a part of it, so why are you not doing anything? Why would anyone so in love with this industry sit and critizice every American player when they could be playing the game and working towards actually accomplishing something?
The game came out in 1999 and you still havent done anything but write about your so-called skills - why are you so damn afraid of getting out of your room and showing the world your skills? Why don't you drop all the excuses and just play like everyone else?
The only reason I can think of is that you suck so extremely hard at the game that even showing up at a LAN tournament would be an embarrassment for you. You will never accomplishing anything in this game, not tomorrow, not next week, not next year... not ever.
Its called being a lowlife newbie.
Very, very special.
I shall impart from thee, as I have other mischievous little cunts I need address. Thou art not nearly important enough for my continuous attention.
You bore me, in all honesty. The nonsense that are your replies. This performance... Do you think it's shrewd of you? That you're a smart guy?
You're a joke.
I know you're going to give me some silly "Still not flashed" rebuttal, like you did satanion right above me, or "tyyaryanoanoson asauyusurusr s lloLOLO" like you just did me... I don't care, to be honest.
When it all comes down to it, you're a sad, sad individual. You're probably still a virgin. Maybe you have a friend. Maybe two. Maybe you don't. Probably not.
Let's be honest. You're pathetic.
You grasp the only part of your life that you feel you've always had control over, as if it was your life itself: Your "Online Persona". You created this. You're probably empowered by it.
Maybe I'll get the "Wall of text, TL;DR" reply. I don't give a shit. We both know you read each and every reply you get, because you enjoy it.
You're a miserable little fuck.
Go on. Give me the "UMAD??" reply. I don't care. I'm not going to continue this "discussion" any further. I just needed your attention in order to tell you this.
Act cool. Don't reply at all. Nothing you do or do not do will surprise me. Nothing will improve anyone's attitude towards you... And regardless of how *fun* you think being a disliked figure on a forum is, in the end... Who cares? Nobody likes you.
So take care. Have fun. All that good jazz. Bye.
I honestly can't say that anywhere else in the world, anyone has failed as abysmally in their goal as you have, and the worst part is that you're too stupid to realize it.
I'm all for lively debates with people of varying backgrounds on these forums, but the reason you are now scared to post on ESEA or GotFrag forums has followed you here. No one wants to hear you rant about how you are better than every single player in the world, and how everyone is doing it wrong. You're annoying, and you have an ego that is WAY too big considering what a miserable failure you are at nearly everything you've ever tried.
You cheated for years and STILL never won anything. Then you tried to play legit, and got run out of a LOCAL LAN tournament with no even remotely known teams or players in attendance without even placing.
I think you need to go out and get some sort of job, forget about gaming for a while, and see a therapist.

On a brighter note Parappa is the best anime you've never seen.
hehehehh, that must suck pretty hard :p

waiting the new lu.
the 2nd time release their team this year
I really wanted coL to stay in the US scene, this will hurt for sure. Besides that, I hoped Delpan is in the future lineup :]
All this time that they have spent for CS is to do the following things:
Practise, Play, travel around the world, get paid to play, etc.
And now when they reach such a level, they jus dont care about it anymore!!
Sad, but true!!

Apparently dboorn respects col's depression and feels some what betrayed by thomz.
Thomz left his visa in his truck at a bus stop, so he missed his flight. His solution to the problem was to text everyone what happened, go home, and fall asleep, leaving everyone in the dark.
Although you're Americans, today in the US you will not be able to find a team in the level of EG.
To have a successful team you must get a European team or even Asian (k23).
If you want to have international results, go for a team which isn't American.
If you care more about national results and having an American team... then build a lineup with American players.
In my opinion, coL failed to impress since they re-opened.

Sad for coL. but they can't do it better for this time ... maybe in future :r
the bigger issue is how coL and the team had terrible commuication. the moment they found out about the missed flight they cut them which leads me believe that the relationship between them was already really bad and they stated how players were going to retire if they didn't get the roster changes they needed. the stories about dboorN and hero cutting evolution are true and it saddens me that this team was one of my favorites before evolution was cut.
