Danish WCG organiser Esport Danmark has announced that two teams will hail the country's flag at the world finals in Los Angeles.
The move will be greatly welcomed by mTw, who finished in second place at the qualifier, though it is still unknown whether they will be the ones to join wCrea in Los Angeles.
The name of the second Danish Counter-Strike team to attend the WCG finals will be revealed at the headquarters of the Danish Union of Metalworkers (Dansk Metal) in Copenhagen on September 23.
Last year, Denmark had just one team in the Counter-Strike finals in Chengdu, but it still took the bronze in the competition, as mTw beat CMAX.gg 2-0.
mTw were on show at the Samsung European Championship in Berlin this weekend, finishing in second place after a 2-0 defeat to SK Gaming in the final.
The WCG finals will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, a tournament on which you will find all the info here, on HLTV.org.
mTw vs FX grand final ;).
btw, im not against mtw going to LA, i even thank cause its going to be a much better event, but im just wondering who's gonna pay for it.. if its MTW, it is not fair for other teams that didnt a qual in their countrys, to see a spot handed to a team that lost it in a qualifier.. :/

#win
how many german spots @ wcg btw?
So when mTw "dies", 1.6 in Denmark will probably die too.

but that is not the point..

Any country can send a team to LA so long as their local WCG org is willing to give them a spot, with or without having to pay for the team's expenses.
It's unbelievable how people are hating on WCG.dk and mTw for getting the 2nd spot when they should be be hating on their local WCG organizers instead. Denmark obviously sees more chances of winning the event by sending 2 teams over and they don't even have to pay for mTw to go there. They gain more than they lose.
I suppose some people think Denmark should have given their 2nd spot to a more 'deserving' team from other country instead of it's own.
mTw is atleast top 5 since 3 years, they already won WCG once, this tournament without them would be pure

ps. ye I remember about SK, but you know syndrome of 2nd place still exist for them ;) as Walle said about the biggest events by SK
Good to see mTw in, they deserved, no doubt! I'm sure they are able to back with medal again
wcg 2008 - 1st place
wcg 2009 - 3rd place
don't deserved? OK.

"Danish WCG organiser Esport Danmark has announced that two teams will hail the country's flag at the world finals in Los Angeles."
You wanna say, that danish organiser had to make portugese spot?
or would you like WCG.dk to pay for kick to go to USA?

If you reply, he wins.
So therefore k1ck e-Sports is now part of Denmark's affair and should be given their *ahem* 'rightful' spot in LA. The only question remains is that, which flag they will be using in the finals? Denmark or Portugal?
and seriously? No, you need to get real and deal with it like a matured person.
Your constant whining of how unfair things are, it's just outrageous and downright silly.

and by the way, I have no personal vendetta against you or the good people of Portugal. It's just that something you say that seems so out of place.
at WCG 2009 some country send 2 teams to global finals. So the "additional" slot isnt created only for mTw.
About the majority of ppl dont know about this rule, it cant be helped since its only been implemented from last year tournament. And im sure your local WCG org or the one who holds the license clearly knows about this rule.
It surely is disappointing not to see a Portuguese representative at global finals, but all we can blame is your local organizers who's the one deciding not to send any CS teams to LA.
hope they don't get drawed with neWave ^^

mtw is in the same situation if i'm not wrong :)

:DAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
)))))))))
aeeee)
MTW GL))
I <3 mTw))
Go Go GO
they shouldn't go, wcg is only for top teams in a country
I really want to see wCrea against world top teams... can't wait for WCG!!! arrgh
My only thing is for people to stop saying mTw deserved it. By losing the WCG Qualifier, they obviously didn't deserve it. But it's great to see more than one team from Denmark going! GL
sweden should get 2 slots and finland and norway should each get a slot ..instead the 3 countries send 1 team for all of them ..
and denmark sends 2 ....thats bullshit ..
3 countries send 1 single team
but 1 country sends 2???
WCG U SUCK.
I had plans to travel to LA to attend WCG 2010 and watch mTw play and everything. I had everything planned out and arranged... and then, when they lost the qualifier, I canceled everything.
...so if they end up getting to go anyway... I'm gonna be pissed! Haha.
If they do go though, good luck! <3
but this is bullshit ....there is a nordic qualifier wich means 3 countries only send 1 team
and then denmark gets to send 2 teams???
whoever decided that there should be a nordic qualifier should shoot themsevles in the face...
if denmark gets 2 slots ..then sweden should also get 2 slots , finland should get 1 slot, and norway 1 slot ...but instead the 3 countries send 1 single team ...and denmark sends 2??
this doesnt make any sense wcg ..u suck at organizing.
im glad mtw get to go ..but i wanted to see fnatic and sk both there this year..
