wNv announce disbandment

wNv have announced the dissolution of their Counter-Strike team and the gaming club altogether.

The Chinese team was on show at the MSI BEAT IT finals last weekend, crashing out of the event in the group stage with just six points from five matches.

In Beijing, wNv did not compete with their full line-up, but with three stand-ins, as Che "enter" Lei was away on holiday, and both Zhao "xpy" Xiaoyu and Hou "bigun" Hao could not attend the event due to personal reasons.

wNv returned to activity in April in time for the WCG qualifiers in China, but the team's lack of good results seems to have made the organisation shut the project down.

Meanwhile, wNv have announced they have reached an agreement with eFuture for the transfers of Che "enter" Lei and Huang "Space"  XiaoTian.

wNv had the following team:

Che "enter" Lei
Hou "bigun" Hao
Wang "aska" Xi
Zhao "xpy" Xiaoyu

They were like a mix team anyway. I really hope that one day they could bring the old guys back. The tag is legendary.

Sad. It really didn't look too promising as they came back for the WCG qualifiers.

Space, aska and especially bigun however are talented players and I hope to see them as well as the other players continue playing professionally.

wNv has been a big name within Counter-Strike and will always be remembered. In early 2006 with back-to-back WEG championship titles, wNv.gm was considered the best team in the world with a lineup featuring Jungle, 44'alex, mikk, tK and sakula.

alex is awesome ingame leader, with a lot of great ideas to play, they strats are incredible, without him, tyloo wouldnt be so good

In-game leader´s role does not require him to be a mad fragger, that´s clear. But he has to play good, I mean the team´s averagely level.

Savage is a good leader too, so not need alex. Alex is so low. Savage is a total player, he is good at sniper, riffle, and leader.

If it means anything, wNv won the largest Counter-Strike tournament of all time - WEG Masters (2006). The prize for 1st place was $75,000, which is more than double what any tournament pays out for 1st nowadays (besides IEM World Championships @ $50,000).

Savage is the most talented player in China, U will see him shin in a short future. wNv is a history, tyloo and tylooraw repsent Chinese cs, and alex is the greatest ingamne leader in China must be in top 3 in the whole woorld.
