ARENA win Ukrainian IEM5 qual.

Event: IEM5 Ukrainian Qualifier

The Ukrainian qualifier for the fifth season of the Intel Extreme Masters has reached its very end, with ARENA qualifying directly to the European Championship together with the defending World Champions from Natus Vincere.

The qualifier final was concluded yesterday, and saw ARENA take on KerchNET, in a match to determine who would join Natus Vincere directly for the European Championship.

KerchNET started out by overcoming ARENA on de_inferno, winning with a 16-3 scoreline. On the second map, de_dust2, and third map, de_nuke, ARENA secured two 16-12 victories to win 2-1 overall, and qualify for the European Championship.

The third-place decider took place tonight, where GetHard clashed with Maverick. GetHard managed the victory and claimed access to the first qualification round, while Maverick will have to try their luck again next season.

Qualification Round 1 – GetHard

The first Ukrainian team in action will be GetHard, who will learn their faith for Qualification Round 1 on Monday next week.

tafa was good pro player in 1.5. he was sniper :) now he the best commentator in ukraine. tafa gl ;)

lol at those who think that tafa actually played. strike was unable to play the 1st map so valentinich played under TAFA(cause tafa is registred on esl,so valentinich had to play with this nickname). 2nd and 3rd map played a guy with ping 5(comparing to tafas ping in first map-20.obviously it was another person from kiev)maybe it was strike...who knows..
