compLexity Gaming have announced their new Counter-Strike team in the form of the FireGamers squad.
The Brazilian giants had long been looking for an organisation to house them as they look to emulate the results most of their players achieved while at Made in Brazil.
FireGamers, who won both the WCG qualifier in the country and WCG Pan-America last month, recently placed third at the Mega GamerHouse Acervus Cup, finishing behind semXorah and mibr, but the team's disappointing results in Botucatu seems to have had no effect on compLexity's determination.
The team will fill the spot left vacant by Andrew "Irukandji" Timmerman's team, who were given the boot by compLexity earlier this month after three of their players missed their flight to Beijing for the MSI BEAT IT finals.
"We couldn’t be happier with this decision. We believe this group of players has the right mixture of skill, attitude, and dedication to be a top contender on the global scene if given the right support," coL owner Jason "1" Lake told the team's website.
"The fact that the squad has maintained a stable roster during a difficult time displays a loyalty that’s hard to find these days. We have high expectations and are hopeful that more international events will only make them better over time."
Although compLexity seem to have finally found a stable team, after their previous rosters in recent times were all harmed by constant line-up changes, Lake stressed that finding a new North American team in still in their plans.
"It is still our wish to field another North American team in the future. Since our return from CGS we have diligently tried to find success but it has proved elusive. If the right opportunity arises we will not hesitate to support two Counter-Strike squads, but as of right now coL.br will represent The Syndicate in 1.6," he added.
The new compLexity team will have their debut for the American organisation this week, against Peruvian side Artyk, as they battle for one of the two South America places at the Intel Extreme Masters American Championship. The match, which will be played online, has yet to be scheduled.
After this, the Brazilians will travel to Los Angeles for the WCG finals, having been paired with forZe and i-DX in Group C.
compLexity now have the following Brazilian team:
Bruno "bruno" Ono
Renato "nak" Nakano
Lincoln "fnx" Lau
Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo
Bruno "bit" Fukuda

i think that was 10 topics about that movie...

GL
And FG.fem ?
good luck !
The name FIREGAMERS was so much more exciting...
Anyways, good luck, boys, hope you can get on the old MIBR level someday :D
gl coL.br (:
Great deal to coL and former FG team! hope the
they got the success they deserve!
unexpected oO
gl coL.br :D:D:D:D:D:D:D
I hope this finally makes FG lineup take their roles seriously. I'll become a FG fan when I finally see them playing as a real team (all 5 being dedicated, not only 1-2), and with coL's help it means they'll finally be able to go on more international events, which means they'll probably dedicate themselves a bit more
- read carefully
congrats!
oO
Now the world will see fallen on fire and fnx.
If they can train with good teams col will be back to top like mibr when they were trainning in sweden.
Best of Luck
coL house back so they can play in american leagues such as CEVO and ESEA? can't wait to find out..

wcg slot is for coL.br now??, "FireGamers" won it.
so firegamers core who only played 1 international event for the entire year of 2010 in the biggest year of e-sports now gets to finally leave Brazil and make the scene even more competitive again ..
great choice if i do say so my self. good luck
now we just need wCrea to drop iscu and pick-up FACE2FACE
but FACE2FACE !!! is still waiting :(( :P
I don't want to go out spewing random facts but I bet you Mr. Lake will try to get them to any and every event.. as long as they show loyalty, the passion in getting better as a TEAM, and showing professionalism while doing so.
Let us America's UNITE! I love all of you down in south AMERICA

I mean, I've joked about them picking up FG when they were having troubles with their lineups but I never thought it could actually happen haha, this is pretty huge indeed.
By the way, I'm pretty sure this is a first isn't it? Never heard of a Brazilian team playing for a foreign organization before in the scene.

and as ppl sayed -fallen+cogu , this team was top 3 world for quite some time.
except I heard Fallen has a sick awp and is as good as cogu was in 06..
However is bit as good as Kikooo?
Any Brazilian fanboy wanna fill me in?
About Fallen, he is a great awp player, but can't compare him to cogu yet.
Good luck for coL!!

btw, i always cheer for check6, JMC, coL in CPL / WSVG!
South america and north america are kind of the same thing.
Think latin and US americans should be happy imho.
That someones actually got a organisation that can play for tournys and shit.
Honestly, I just hope them the best :P
Edit; Oh and .. Most likely I think north-americans came down to south america and became south americans. Hohoho. I'm sure tho.

GOGO FalleN!
coL.FalleN :D
coL.fnx :D
Maybe they need to change bruno , cuz he isn't the same as he was. They could bring in someone like btt , prd or spacca. Those 3 are really good.

Take a look and change your mind.
Peace.
People are just judging his form over his performance on a single map vs EG (train).
I'll admit that he seems to be the weak link when they play train, but he's far from being worse than the other guys on the team when you take their overall performances into account.
He's still a great player, plus he's like the backbone of this team... without him they wouldn't have even stuck together for this long.
