DEFEATERS announce return

DEFEATERS have announced their return to activity with a roster composed of several familiar faces.

The last time the Slovakian side were seen playing was in the Replacement Cup for IEM5, in which a 16-13 defeat at the hands of Antwerp Aces in the first round spelled the end of the road for them.

DEFEATERS return with three players who were part of the last active line-up - Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács, Radovan "uNreaL" Brátinka and Oliver "cheesE" Sokol.

Former fu.sk star Ivan "Dev1" Lazarov has backtracked on his retirement decision and is part of the team's six-man line-up.

DEFEATERS, who will participate in the GIGABYTE league next month, have:

Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács
Radovan "uNreaL" Brátinka
Oliver "cheesE" Sokol
Ivan "Dev1" Lazarov
Daniel "roxor" Ďurana
Lubomír "roben" Frák

about 2 years ago they all went inactive, 2 weeks ago Dev1 said there won't any comeback and now here we go... :)

Can anyone who knows better Slovakian cs tell me whether these guys can achieve international praise?

I know fy.sk and they were quite good, but didn't participate too much on international events...

Can they compete, for example, with teams like HSBG, Entity, Teg, Adeks, x6tence, k1ck, etc.?

I don't think so, most of them were inactive for a period of time and some of them are @ universities, plus as I know rox0r he's not the kind of guy who makes a big deal out of cs, so I don't expect them to train on a regular basis :D most of them just want to wipe off dust from their old guns and have some fun after years. +as I said earlier roben doesn't belong to this lineup skill-wise or experience-wise.

they trully can, but their task is harder since they havent been playing and the teams you mentioned have. if k1ck, entity, hsbg, teg, etc manage to do it, why wouldn't they?

it depends on priorities... If they want only to participate in GIGABYTE league, play for only fun, and maximum dominate Slovakian/Czech Republic scene it's one story...

On the opposite, if they want win something and practice a lot, it's another story...

Anyway, Dragon[E5] pointed out, that they have universities and other staff more important than cs, so probably it can be a reason they will not be able to compete with teams I mentioned above.
