mTw out of the Danish Championship
mTw have been eliminated from the 2011 Danish Championship following a 2-1 loss against Onlinerz.
In what on paper should be smooth sailing to the final for the Danish powerhouse mTw, turned out to be a fatal loss in first round and will not play any further in the Danish Championship.
The third place finishers from IEM5 World Championship managed a simple 16-5 win on first map de_inferno. On second map de_train things started to slowly drift in favor of Onlinerz. Playing the Terrorists side, Onlinerz managed to claim a total of eight rounds, before switching to the CT side. As CT Onlinerz kept pushing to a bigger lead, and mTw only managed to claim one silly round, as Onlinerz went on to win the map 16-8.
On the final map de_tuscan, mTw raised the bar a little, but it was once again Onlinerz having the lead at half-time, leading 8-7 after finishing their CT side. In the second half it started to look like mTw would seal the map and take the victory. But with several sloppy clutch rounds by mTw, Onlinerz reached match point at 15-14. In the last round mTw failed to take down Onlinzers, who secured their advancement in the Danish Championship with a 2-1 win.
In the other matches, things pretty much went as expected. TCM won 2-0 against Gamerzone.dk, Cheap Times! downed horsie 2-0, while face! managed a 2-1 win against denuke gaming. With the first round of the bracket finalized, the next round, which will take place next Sunday, will feature following matchups.

As zonic said in an interview. MTW has a hard time putting themselves up for such games against mediocre teams. But there is certainly nothing to be taken from Onlinerz they played really well.
MTW is a strange team. When they have something to play for, they are in my opinion, the world's best team.

Wow, being away for a couple of years, I really forgot how much e-sports are behind all other sports in the world, when it comes to the fans/followers.
Barcelona looses a random match in the Spanish league against some lower ranking team – Fans are disappointed, but nobody has any doubts about them still being among the best 5 football teams in the world.
Michael Schumacher came in second more than once, but nobody can say he is not the greatest F1 driver throughout history.
Probably even Ron Jeremy, have number of times been standing in front of the camera and.... I guess you see where I am going.

They lose one match to and underdog team, a people are talking about it like as it was the end of the world. And now they from one match, have become a bad team? really? no!
Onlinerz played an incredible match, and made all the right moves at the right time. mTw only played well, but well was not enough today.
How about celebrating Onlinerz performance? Instead of mocking mtw for theirs.
I know this will not make any difference what so ever... But its late and I am bored..
