The Electronic Sports World Cup has revealed the time and location for their 2011 event to be October 21-25 at Paris Games Week in Porte de Versailles, Paris.

For the eigth time ESWC will be held in Paris, this year in the center of the French capital, unlike last year's event at Disney Land Paris. The main concern for ESWC in picking the new location was to be closer to the public, and have therefore chosen Paris Games Week, a French show dedicated for videogames industry in France.

Paris Games week will take place October 21-25 at Porte de Versailles Hall 1, located in the center of Paris.

"ESWC this year offers 6.000 m² of show space, qualification areas that have been optimized for the audience, an area dedicated to partners, and a stage with an amphitheatre that can hold up to 1.500 spectators." - Reads the ESWC website


Central Paris to fill ESWC seats once again?

The 2011 event will feature a total prize purse of $220,000 to cover all titles, which represents an increase of $6,500 from last year. This year ESWC will feature competitions in both Counter-Strike 1.6 and Source.

i think it was about the illegal defuse by solo and then the legal defuse by zonic which counted as an illegal and they remove 3 rounds from mtw vs ping...i think it was eswc if i'm not mistaken

Now you mention it. The defuse from WMF made them win the game or something aight ? I think it was a very important round for them :P And if im not mistakeing, wasn't it also something about, the teams didn't get the money in a few months or something ?

i dont quite remember :s but i dont think eswc had ever funding problems..angel munoz and scott valencia had problems with the cpl..they still owe teams lots of money

well guys but I think that the illegal defuse done by termi , but the good thing to know that there is no rule in ESWC banned this , beside I think that the admins said that all the bugs of the maps got solved , like the box flash in dd2.
