The e-Stars organisation has announced that voting is in for the upcoming MSI Beat It Championship 2011.

Until June 30, the community can vote on the official e-Stars' website for the teams they want to see in action at the event, which will run from 19-21 August in Seoul.

Fan voting will account for 50 per cent of the selection, with the remaining 50 per cent belonging to the e-Stars' pannel of experts, who will decide based on the teams' history.

A total of 11 teams will be decided this way, while the last places will go to Frag eXecutors, the defending champion, and the top four teams from a South Korean qualifier.

After the tournament commitee has finished reviewing the teams' CV, the announcement of the final participants will be made in early July.

According to the e-Stars' website, you can vote as many times as you want, but only once per day.

I personally wouldn't want to see 3 Swedish teams in this tournament, there are already 2 Swedish teams and we should pick the best teams from Europe not Scandinavia. The 2 last teams should and will definitely be another team from Russia/Ukraine (M5/DTS) and 1 team from Germany/France/Spain (mousesports/eSahara/x6tence). I'd personally go with M5 because they are always nice to watch and I think they are the 2nd best team in CIS. In recent times, Asian teams have proven strong (thinking mainly of WMF and TyLoo), which could be a reason why they have one more team from that region.

I think a team will have to prove itself first and not sit around waiting for the opportunity to go somewhere. I know it might sound a little harsh, but lets say a team gets the opportunity and totally blow, then someone really must fell like the picked the wrong candidate.

first of all, what i said is a fact and not especially what I want. I agree with you about the fact that easy matches would be boring.
On the other side, teams have maybe enough level to compete against the best and it would unfair to never let them a chance to prove it.
For example (and because I'm french), at the beginning of WCG07, nobody thought that emuLate would be able to win it and they have surprised everyone when they did it.
Anyway, to be honest, there is no low lan team in the list (or at least in the European one), so easy matches shouldn't happen imo.

why many of you forget esahara?
Last times you saw them was first during the WCG and their group was the hardest one and they won against Lions at lan. Then at the IEM5 european final where they deal the draw against mTw and the overated "mousesports".
Did you all forget them because you haven't see them since a long time? Or is it because you dislike french team in general or something like that?
It seems like many users have short memory, and their analyzes are just on what has been done only 2 weeks before.
I'm not considering esahara to be good enought to aspire to e-stars, but imo teams like x6, DTS, virtus pro, mousesports and lions are at the same level than the french team.
Anyway, this voting system is a hoax and admins will decide everything after all.

Please, be realistic. Mousesports WAS a big team, a top team. But just before cyx death they hadn't the level of past. We must look for example to x6tence, they just loose at XPERIA 14:16 vs Frag eXecutors, for example, or winning Lions at ISCP 8 Online. It's not just sending 3 .SE teams to Seoul, if there are teams who can do a good LAN like them.

I know that Lions & Mouz have a lot of fans, but I suggest to you for voting x6tence providing the opportunitie they deserve.

I am ashamed of all my spanish brothers who are voting for x6tence. Lions is in an ultra bad shape, they lost to mousesports and almost lost to double damage and the even lost to x6tence. mousesports is terrible as well, they haven't shown any good results internationally for a couple of years.

x6tence are terrible they aren't even top40 in the world. I am sorry that my country is so terrible at cs. I don't think x6tence will stand a chance in the 2nd group stage and definitely not at dreamhack. x6tence are much worse on lan than online. the last time x6tence was good on lan was 6 years ago. not too long ago we lost 7-16 vs cheap times on lan. expected results in icsc:

i dont like this voting stuff, they should just pick the best teams and thats clearly not happening. atm m5 and eshara is much better then x6tence, mousesports and lions(at lan). same goes with wild ineters, FG is so much better.

id say any other team from europe deserves the spot x6tence probably will get.......wich is really sad.

you are right but have a look at this:

last year the european teams with the highest amount of votes:
1. mousesports 115,105
2. fnatic 113,033
3. UNiTED 79,026

the teams that were chosen by the e-stars commitee:
NaVi - later replaced by fnatic
FragExecutors
UNiTED - later replaced by MYM(M5)

mousesports had the highest amount of votes but didn't get chosen solely because of their past lan performance. M5 team did well last e-stars seoul and so did fnatic so you can assume that both fnatic, M5 as well as NaVi (who were invited last year but didn't attend), mTw, SK and maybe Lions. actually I believe the entire voting process is just a pr tool, the actual results don't really matter.

I've locked your thread mainly because every time someone talks about this a flame wars starts, I understand your point of view, but this is happening in all community's, including the Argentinian one.
There's no point of discussing this since the Argentinian community does the same, exploiting the polls allowing people to vote 500 times instead of one.

Both community's are taking this into an unnecessary level, abusing the community features wont help the team, it can even damage the team reputation.

Once again I remind, community pools only count 50%, having more votes than fnatic/sk etc doesn't mean a thing, since only the admins have the final call on what teams should attend.

I'm not going to say nobody in Argentina bugged the system, but at least nobody created an app capable of voting on its own.
That's what i wanted to show.
I don't mind you closing the thread, i read at the end of the "e-stars vote" thread what you said about closing that thread and every single other thread talking about that. I just read it late, thats why i created it.
