The first group at GameGune 2011 has finalized, with Natus Vincere finishing in top spot, k1ck following in second and paiN finished third.

Just as expected, Na´Vi finished in first place, but did get a run for the money, especially against paiN, who managed to take 13 rounds against the third place finishers from GameGune 2010. The Brazilians did despite the good effort against Na´Vi, fall against k1ck, who claimed a 22-8 victory in their matchup. k1ck were not able to pull off much against Na´Vi in the last match of the group, with the Ukrainians winning 16-7, on their worst map de_nuke.

This meant Na´Vi finished first and k1ck second, sending them to the playoffs, starting in the upper-bracket, while paiN came third, securing them at least one more match, as they will start from the lower bracket. In the lower part of the group and not advancing, we see madjick finishing fourth, GameHolics in fifth and talikemix in sixth.

Edward and co. advance from Group A with five wins

There is currently a total of 2½hours delay (and counting), Group B is up next, where you will be able to see SK Gaming, the Spanish pride x6tence, LDLC.com, defs and club bathory fight for three places to the playoffs.
