WinFakt have knocked out fnatic in the e-Stars Seoul 2011 and will now advance to play Natus Vincere on de_inferno.

WinFakt started as counter-terrorists and quickly opened up a 10-5 lead at the half way mark of the match. Some big rounds by Kimmo "BASiC" Fagerholm gave WinFakt the edge they needed to defeat fnatic. In the second half WinFakt took the pistol round and cruised through the remaining rounds to win 16-9.

WinFakt will now play Natus Vincere, in a match that is scheduled to start very soon.

NY and DC hats are often used as mainstream "pop" clothing.
I've never seen a Volcom hat used as such... maybe I'm just getting too old!

rofl, i remember there was a story on cadred.org about a swedish source team that said that "we are going to support cs promod 100% and are playing it exclusively". not surprisingly there was no mention of that afterwards and they just went back to source. the point being that it's best to test cs:go first and see how tournament organizers want to handle it before making any decisions on your own..

Not quite sure what the issue with fnatic is. They've had more than enough time to mold the team together. I just dont think thinks are clicking for them. Interesting to see if theres any lineup changes or if they just put in a lot of prac to try and get some better results. But also double elim is probs the worst format. BO3 is a WAY better format.

Xizt gameplay looks like hez paying deathmatch. lot of sprays.he doesnt use brain. he has got just nice reflexes and nice aim. once in a while he will get some fluke kills which will be video worthy. thats all.

pita much more stable and intelligent than Xizt

I still actually had faith in cArn, that he could get things done, after Delpan left for SK. Since than, completely nothing. I mean, they failed at DreamHack and they changed manne for pita. Carn said in his "Life of Carn", that they needed a guy who could cheer up the team etc and that was pita.

When Delpan was playing for fnatic, still they won one tournament and still were strong at least, give a good fight to SK, NaVi, mTw, FX etc, but now, they can't even win against mid level teams like WinFakt, TCM etc. Not saying, that those teams are bad, but the top4 would win against them, in a heartbeat.

He said himself, that they needed a madfragger, like manne and yet, manne didn't deliver, at his first serious tournament in a professional team, he released him. Obviously cArn was wrong, he needed to give him more time..

And now with pita, they haven't won anything and they aren't even a threat anymore. The thing is that pita, Gux and Xizt are amazing players and they can win matches by themselves and pita actually progressed a lot. I actually think, that the problem is with dsn.

The irony is that, when Delpan was in fnatic, they still were a strong team and Delpan could hit those awp shots and when he joined SK, dsn needed to awp again and he hasn't been doing well with the awp for a long time. Even pita started awping on train at least. Come on, pita isn't an awp player, he can use it from time to time, but he isn't an awper. Fnatic definitely needs to cut dsn and get a good awp player, because pita, Xizt, Gux are good enough to win titles. And there is no point to cut cArn, because, they won't find a better IGL than him. Maybe threat, but he won't leave Lions I think.


And people who are bitching about the bo1 system. Obviously, it's not so good, but saying that fnatic or like some other team who shoulda have won, but they lost, because it was bo1, it's stupid. Doesn't matter. WinFakt needed to win one map to go further and same goes for fnatic...

And it's kinda embarrassing for fnatic, that they lost to SK 10 million times and they haven't even got close to beating them. Some time back, it always was like an El Classico and now it's just a random match, where SK are demolishing them, pretty easily..

I am very very disappointed but i am still going to keep supporting fnatic... dsn is very very sick with rifle... better than gux, xizt or pita (IMO). I would not want to cut dsn... I still think there's nothing wrong with the skill... The problem is somewhere else...

I'm pretty sure that they lack a really good awper and I agree with that point. dsn is a good awp player, but since he played so much with rifles I think he became a secondary awp player.
Cannot agree about pita. He was a secondary awp in mym and primary in Rage.
I think it is a matter of atmosphere in the team and raw skill. f0rest was a key player in the team. They need someone like him.
dsn was a good player and in the first half of the year he was so damn good!!! If you don't agree watch iem europe and other tournaments.That is a problem! fnatic can't win when dsn is 2nd best player in the team(yeah 2nd, sorry but xizt wasn't consistent and if you want to give me some youtube links of his frags I highly recommend you to watch matches). It was all about skill.
Now about atmosphere.The team had a great shock when they lost iol, wcg sweden and dreamhack so badly. carn said that they needed pita to shout and cheer up players. But since they were so early as you said demolished it really presses them. IMO that is the problem.

well you see, there are several ways of changing the roaster.
The biggest and the worst is to change dsn. Why the worst because he is playing in fnatic for such a long time that he became a symbol of the team. Besides i'm pretty sure if he leaves carn will leave as well.
Another way is to change pita and find a monsterous awp player.
Another way is to rebuy f0rest and Delpan )

I sometimes wonder what fnatic would have been like if Sam changed carn and dsn and added robban and allen? )

fnatic are hopeless with current lineup. no matter how much they practice, they will fail with this lineup.

They were stupid in releasing f0rest and GTR in the first place.

IMO SK currently are unstoppable, and no offence, but fnatic need like 1-2 years to reach where SK are right now.

Before f0rest, GTR and GuX left fnatic, cArn had interview where he told that he would quit cs, if that fnatic team would break (if f0rest and GTR would leave), but what happened: he didnt quit.

Back then people though that he was the most important player in fnatic as IGL, but now its proved otherwise. If he would understood to quit cs, when f0rest, GTR and GuX didnt want to play anymore with him and dsn, he would be remembered now as legendary player, who could make any team shine, but now he will be remembered as bad player and reason for downfall of fnatic.

Sad but true: f0rest and GTR made fnatic so good and everyone can pretty much see that carn doesnt have enough talent to reach nowadays top cs level (thats why f0rest, gtr and gux left fnatic back in days)
