dsn retires, Friis to fnatic - Report
Harley "dsn" Örwall is according to rakaka.se on the edge of calling his retirement, the Dane Michael "Friis" Jørgensen is expected to take his place.
It has not been a walk on roses lately for the Swedish Counter-Strike team representing fnatic. The team most recently attended e-Stars Seoul, where they placed 7-8th, with a loss to WinFakt in the lower-bracket.
After the tournament exit, rakaka.se got a hold of Harley "dsn" Örwall for an interview, wherein he among other things mentioned that "maybe I'm too old. I'm not happy with my performance at all" and finished off by saying: "you can't play videogames all your life".
The Swedish tabloid website today bought a hot rumor, claiming Örwall has called his retirement, leaving fnatic, which has been his home since 2005.

While it might not come as a shocker that the 25-year-old has decided to retire, the rumor also state that a Dane will be filling Örwall's shoes. It is allegedly Michael "Friis" Jørgensen, who is going to join fnatic to replace Örwall.
Friis on his way to fnatic?
It was only ten days ago that Jørgensen joined the Danish powerhouse mTw, where he replaced Alexander "ave" Holdt who had called in his retirement.
Has Örwall decided to retire? Will fnatic pick up Jørgensen? Has the tweet "Dead legend back in business!!!! <3", by Danny "zonic" Sørensen anything to do with the matter?

there are differences.
markeloff is a very stable defensive awp user. sick reflex, doesnt miss too much shots.
delpan and friis is much more agressive, they move a lot and kill a lot (some impossible shots as well)
tho there arent any signifficant difference between theese players in therms of ingame knowledge and skill :D

True that. But the reason why Friis hasn't get much support from the cs scene is the same what was with Delpan. Back then when Delpan played for MYM, it was always RobbaN, walle, dsn and Sunde. Then 2 years later Delpan joined Sk, now do all people think Delpan is top 3 in the world with awp. Imo the same will happen with Friis. MYM was better than TCM is now, but MYM was either a top team like Sk and Na'Vi etc. If Friis joins fnatic I think he's gonna shine :)

it's not so hard for in-game communication , and for other things they can speak in English if they aren't able to understand enough good each other.. It's a similar situation in ESC and pronax said they use English when needed. :D

ESC didn't have that problem with karrigan. When you see the POVs you can realise about how they would communicate. At least in this case, karrigan didn't had any problem in understanding, maybe Friis will not have troubles either.

This is crazy! DSN has been like the best player in fnatic now when they are playing bad, if he retires, fnatic is going to get worse, although Friis is a good joice to replace DSN but I think DSN is a much more complete player and his AWPing is for sure among the top. Although, I can not figure out why the hell an ave that was in the shape of his life would retire just so that Friis could join and now leave after 10 days? It doesn't really make sense doesn't it? If this is true, than mTw have made an huuuuuge mistake and I believe that they aren't too satisfied and happy with this at all. Sunde has been OK in the matches he played with that Danish mix team but I don't think he is the man to take that AWP spot cuz it isn't very safe since he hasn't been active for a pretty long time, but maybe they have been praccing with him, who knows? If anyone should replace Friis/ave my pick would definitely be KARRiGAN. I mean, let's be serious, the guy has it all: Decent AWPing, excellent rifling, good clutcher, smart player, he would be the excellent choice to replace Friis/ave. But since zonic stated that a legend is coming back it won't be KARRiGAN it probably will be Sunde. In the end, there is nothing more to say than good luck DSN, you are and will always be a legend of the sport and you will be missed! Is he going to retire, or is he going to "retire"? By the latter, what I mean is will he get dropped by fnatic, take a little time off, and come back to play for another team? So many other big name players who are on a top team end up leaving when the team starts to not get the results they used to, and then come back to play for another decent team? Friis would be pretty stupid to leave mTw for that fnatic team. mTw with zonic, trace, friis, arcadion, minet is pretty much a dream-team that cant really be made any better in terms of team makeup and player skill. They would/will absolutely dominate fnatic.

I can understand where dsn is coming from, being 25 myself. At a certain point (or certain age) you realize you aren't going to get any better, and your best days are behind. Although he is a very consistent player, he probably knows he can't be the star player he used to be and because that is his standard for success, he must be very unhappy with his results. This game can drain you and burn you out quickly and after playing as many years as he has you can't make that motivation and drive come out of thin air.
I don't think a player should continue to play for selfless reasons, i.e. to please fans. If this is is wish, then let him retire on top and rest after a long and glorious career.

What I find ironic is that at the end of 2010, f0rest and Get_right wanted dsn gone. Imagine if he had left back then. Get_right, f0rest, delpan, carn and gux would've been in one lineup.

i thought friis deserved his chance in mTw for a tournament... maybe it wasnt working out. if sunde returns... i really dont see it helping mTw to become the best team in the world, which im sure is their goal.

Every players will had bad times, good times, i didn't understand why dsn give up immediately. You can't play in best team forever. He'just 25 years old and at least he could stay in fnatic for one more year. Anyway, it's obvious he has another reasons which he didn't say. good luck in your real life. you'll be missed!

I am really wondering why is everybody saying that it is friis who is leaving mTw? In fact it would be a strange decision to make to change the danish dream team to famous but unstable swedish crew. I think it is the rest of mtw who decided to get rid of friis. The question is... why they decided so?
