DreamHack Balkan took place this past weekend in Constanta, Romania and saw Earthquake and TeG qualify for MSI BEAT IT 2011.
Sixteen teams had made their way to the city of Constanta this weekend, with two spots for MSI BEAT IT 2011 being handed out on Sunday. Teams hailed from Serbia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as Romanian and would be fighting for two paid trips to DreamHack Winter 2011.
As the group stage concluded, HEADSHOTBG, es, TeG, neXtPlease!, RB, Saints, Earthquake and REVOLTE! made their way into the playoffs.
Some controversy did however take place in Group B, in the last round, when neXtPlease! took on addicted. Via an anonymous email sent to HLTV.org, it was explained how the scenario went down:
"So the match started and it was 14-5 for addicted one player disconnected and neXt! DORI invoked the rules so they can win by FORFAIT because he disconnected, which made no sense, but after 2 hours they announced that the game next vs addicted will be played again from 0-0, the game finished 15-15 this time.
So conform group rules they have more rounds then neXt! so they should have qualified, but PGL admin said NO THEY HAVE TO PLAY EXTRA ROUND BECOUSE OF TIE !!! WE ARE IN GROUPS ....they made them play extra rounds until neXt! won finally and beside this they told addicted they can't leave because they have information that someone will ddos FORTE GAMES if they lose."
The tournament continued, heavily delayed and as the spots for MSI BEAT IT 2011 were to be determined, it was down to a fight between TeG, Earthquake and RB. TeG advanced to the Grand Final, with a 2-0 win over Earthquake and secured one of the two spots.
RB and Earthquake met in the lower-bracket, playing one best of three to determine which of the two would go to DreamHack Winter. With a 2-1 victory, Earthquake qualified and would then face off against TeG in the Grand Final.
Earthquake continued their great results from the lower-bracket match, downing TeG 2-0 in the Grand Final.

2.TeG
3.RB
4.neXtPlease!

7-8.REVOLTE
7-8.Saints
With the DreamHack Balkan concluded, following teams have so far qualified for MSI BEAT IT 2011:
SK Gaming |
k1ck |
Electronic Sahara |
Evil Geniuses |
fnatic |
CREWUNiTY |
Anexis |
Lions |
ESC Gaming |
Moscow Five |
TeG |
Earthquake |
All of these teams will later this month travel to Jönköping, in order to compete in MSI BEAT IT 2011, which will take place at DreamHack Winter 2011.
TeG is doing better lately now because SNAPPLE is back from Eq. Instead, Taofik(ex-TeG player) joined Eq and now the team is a powerhouse.
I'm glad that two romanian teams qualified for DH Winter. TeG showed at LAN that they support Eq despite their rivalry.
I'm sure this two teams will show some good stuff in Sweden.
Addicted was LAN surprise tbh.

GG guys!
EU4IA and BGD Online left the tournament from the groupstages if I'm not mistaken, right?
GG Romania teams, nice final standings :>
And you cannot say heavily delayed it was for about 3 -4 hours, there were tournaments that had larger delays than this one.

neXtPlease! Gaming's official (if you want) point of view is the same and any other words would be useless here. You just gave others the answer: quoting "[...]yes addicted needed only a tie, but since neXt were the ones to go to the admins and explain they will do a rematch, it was only fair to say that this rematch should have been played till one team wins, compensate the decision of next to not win a game by forfait.[...]".
Nothing more than that!
Btw, he is not 14yo and stop being a wannabe gamer here, cheers.

DooM < HSBG
The only team from the above mentioned that could face TeG or Eq is Entity, but Entity had never proved in the past that it is capable to be no. 1 team in Balkans and I doubt it could be in the near feature. Imo Eq & TeG deserve to be there like Balkans representatives.
Oh and I think that BGD is capable of a lot more
GL&HF in Sweden TeG & Eq
group stage whit EXTRA ROUNDS and ff at disconnect.

P.S. About neXtplease "case"...as snappi said, that's ridiculous. It's quite obvious that orga failed. "If a player leaves a server you get forfeit loss" or "if a player leaves a server you have to play rematch" are rules I've never heard before tbh :)

GL Romanians @ SWEDEN!
Anyway, you man aim hard!
TeG and eq lose all matches on MSI BEAT IT
They'll lose any match on MSI BEAT IT .
TeG is not anymore a team ... is NOTHING :
http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/9157/detuscan00..
http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/9554/detuscan0011..
TeG say "we don't have a sponsorship" and when they had , they lose all match's .
At least if they had any win with ten rounds but from 6 matchs they lose with UNDER 10 ROUNDS WON... in all of them .
Maybe Eq because Sedan is a high skilled player but with Taofik.. no chance .
GL Eq !!!!

The rumour is that they will not quite practice and that they will go like they are in a trip or smth... Hope this isn't true and that they are motivated to practice so they can do some damage at DHW.
This time it's a big difference: they don't go alone, they're going with Eq. They wouldn't feel alone! That feeling: "alone at the end of the world" will disappear. They will feel comfortable this time and make a nice figure though is very hard. It's like you wanna say that UE provides Romania for infrastructure development 50 billions and Romania want to have skyscrapers in half a year. LOL
if you're a realist to know that
TeG and eq have very little chance
of winning with ESC, LIONS, EG, m5,
Congratulates for winning. Good luck.
