Moscow Five are the winners of MSI BEAT IT Russia 2011, as they defeated fnatic 2-0 in the Grand Final to win the $10,000 first place prize.
The Grand Final started on de_train, the map fnatic had just downed Natus Vincere on, which is some achievement, as the Ukrainians are known to be kings of that specific map. Whereas everything went well for fnatic on the map against Na´Vi, Moscow Five got the better start, starting from the Terrorists side.
It took some time before fnatic started fighting back against the hard hitting Russians, who at half time had the lead with a 8-7 score line. On the attacking side fnatic found a success to take rounds off the Russians, but only lasting till Moscow Five's Mihail "Dosia" Stolyarov stepped it up and locked down the train yard, seeing Moscow Five claim a 16-12.
The second map de_forge, known as a CT favored map, started with Moscow Five continuing where they left off on de_train, dominating fnatic, leading 10-5 at half time, after playing the Terrorists side. Little did it help fnatic switching to the attacking side, starting out by losing the pistol round, Moscow Five took the following two rounds to claim a 13-5 lead. The next round went in favor of fnatic, which seemed to ignite the comeback for the Scandinavian team.
Moscow Five were able to sneak in two rounds in between fnatic winning rounds, making the match go down to the thirtieth round, with Moscow Five leading 15-14. The last round saw Moscow Five win a 2-versus-1 situation against fnatic's captain, awarding them the victory at MSI BEAT IT Russia 2011, winning 16-14 and 2-0 overall.
This is Moscow Five's first big win since winning the Russian WCG qualifier more than two months ago.
In the third place decider, DTS were able to defeat their countrymen from Natus Vincere, winning 2-1 to take third and the $2,500 cheque.

Nice work
although nice performance by fnatic aswell, beating navi and placed 2nd pretty impressive :)
anyway, fnatic did a great job but M5 did an amazing job.
anexis, winfact, dts, fnatic?
Look at other teams.. The m5's bracket is hardest at the tournament.
edit: but who cares, winner is winner... gratz m5 :]

Good job!
Yes, we can!
I think that the best of the tournament was the Train that fnatic won against Na'Vi, just epic.

1.again
2.nawi
3.fnatic ?:D
He was talking about this tournament :)
Seems like you can read between the lines :D
It's like mind-talking or whatever you call it.
see ya :five:
Sick :D
Finals should be limited to original maps (nuke, dust2, inferno, train, [maybe tuscan]).
I still see 1 mistake (and a few more, actually, but that would probably be nitpicking)...
"Little did it help fnatic switching to the defensive side..."
They started CT and switched to the offensive side :)

Go Russia! :D
btw, may be this old fnatic come back?)
and maybe now they will feel much self-confident playing against world top teams
Check #133 post.
I am God, I know everything. :)
on topic, winfakt was in a great shape leaving no chance for again. fnatic just outplayed na'vi. won against both teams as well as DTS and anexis. nothing more to say than m5 are winners.
yeah they not play with navi or again ( they won m5 ( 60 % \ 40 % ) ) but they won this tourney, and they watched nice game.
fuck trolls and haters.

in cyberarena people were quiet.
but WHTF is with Na'Vi !? :(
They fight for title long time.
COngratz!
btw where is final demo?????????
Somebody know where i can find?
very nice final, close games tons of skills
And the real topic is, what is wrong with people on HLTV? Everybody said when Fnatic won Na`Vi, "fnatic is the best, oww fnatic >>>> Na`vi". Now, M5 won fnatic, so M5 >>>>> fnatic? Or Again finished at 6. So M5, fnatic, Na`Vi all of them > AGAIN???
Seriously guys, stop ranking teams with only match results. Seriously!
It's just childish.
good game
suprise dts ;]
i wonder how much money they will get after all penaltys
RUSSIAN BEST!
sad for fnatic, but still nice one !!! :)
