Na´Vi skip WCG 2011
Last year's defending champions Natus Vincere have been forced to skip World Cyber Games 2011.
The Ukrainian powerhouse's attendance had been in question ever since the team failed to win a spot in WCG Ukraine for the WCG grand final to be held in Busan, South Korea on December 8-11.
It had been rumoured they would still be able to attend due to being the reigning champions but according to a statement from the organization's CEO, Alexander "ZeroGravity" Kokhanovskyy, it will no longer be possible:
"On Monday, November 21st, I contacted WCG organizing committee to settle the details of our trip to Busan, South Korea. That time I was very surprized to know noone was waiting for us there. It looks like everything was planned 15 days prior the event and we can understand the organizers. But I still do not understand why noone contacted us to finalize the deadline for event participation." - Kokhanovskyy stated on the team's website.
You will however see Natus Vincere in action this week at MSI Beat It which will be held on November 25-26 at DreamHack Winter 2011 in Jönköping, Sweden where they have been placed in group C with the likes of fnatic and Moscow Five.
