After reporting the rumours of Team EG's CS team disbanding yesterday, the organization has today officially shut down its Counter-Strike division.
EG's support for its Counter-Strike division has been in question ever since the Summer which saw Tyler "Storm" Wood and Danny "fRoD" Montaner get replaced on the lineup. The team was absent from all major tournaments of 2011 since the IEM5 World Championship.
Alex Garfield, the CEO of Evil Geniuses stated that the organization will look into returning to the CS franchise if CS:GO is to become big as they have supported the game for over seven years.

EG at their last big tournament, IEM6 Global Challenge New York
According to myEG.net, Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert will stay within the organization as "an individual FPS gaming evangelist" and will produce content for the team's future website, ending all rumours of him possibly joining another North American team, at least for now.
Evil Geniuses was:
Derek "dboorN" Boorn
Andwer "Irukandji" Timmerman
Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert
Thomas "thoMz" Garcia
Although there has been no official word from ESL just yet, this should also guarantee Natus Vincere a spot at IEM6 Global Challenge Kiev in just under two weeks.

Team EG has folded their Counter-Strike 1.6 division. I won't be quitting counter-strike, but it seems that I won't have a team to compete with at least for now. The future of things are un clear but I'll try to keep you guys updated and possibly with my free time do some more lessons and community events.
Thank you to everyone who has tuned into an HLTV to watch me play for EG in the past, and thank you to everyone who has shown me support on forums and giving me kind words here. I know that the gaming world would not be much without the fans.
So, cheers to you guys and cheers to e-Sports!

Fan boys.
Lurppis is really good, but on par with the top players of the world? Unfortunately not and really wasnt ever. You think lurppis was on the top of EGs hit list when they signed him. Give me a break.... He wasnt even the third european they asked
Go watch a demo or two since no one has obviously watched him play live. Then watch a irukandji demo.... Night and day difference.
Side note... dboorn was a huge troll when i used to play with him for years. The guy got famous from pugging esea. He wasnt ever that good. 9 months later hes playing pro cs in NA. See a problem?
Esea killed north american cs. CGS only shot it in the chest. The new breed of cs player in NA doesnt even know how to play cs. They feel a high fpr in esea=great player
