Six months after the team was founded as paistit, WinFakt has recruited Aleksi "allu" Jalli and Hannu "H^N" Pohjalainen to fill the void left by departures of Jirka "jigetus" Ryhti and Niko "naSu" Kovanen.
The Finns became a part of WinFakt for e-Stars and have since then attended multiple international tournaments and secured themselves a spot among the top teams in the world with various top three finishes.
According to team captain Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen the team's main problem in the past months has been lack of solid practice which was limited a lot by Ryhti's work schedule. This move should give the team the ability to put in more practice.

The same time issues caused by Niko Kovanen and Ryhti were also the cause of WinFakt skipping over DreamHack Winter as they were unable to take time off of work and school. Both Niko Kovanen and Ryhti will go inactive and won't be joining another team.
Tomi Kovanen continued, saying Jalli and Pohjalainen are both extremely motivated and players of the newer and hungrier generation just like Verkkoperä and Fagerholm which should bode well for the team.
Jalli is best known as a former teammate of Verkkoperä in munkka and more recently played for aNimus at Digifest. Pohjalainen has previously played for Online Kingdom with Fagerholm, managing upset wins over mTw and Lions at Xperia Play last Spring.

WinFakt is currently bootcamping at SETT's offices in Helsinki and will continue to do so until their debut event with the new lineup, LanTrek 2012 on January 13-15 in Tampere, Finland.
Later this month they will attend IEM6 Global Challenge Kiev on January 19-22 where they will face fnatic, Moscow Five and mousesports in group B. WinFakt is also already qualified for IEM6 World Championships.

Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen
are they brothers ? :D
that a bad comparison i know, but nevertheless, i dont think this team can get any better than they were with nasu and jigetus :s hope im wrong though
By practicing for hours with their team.
You can do it too if you have enough motivation, a place to practice with your team and sponsors which Winfakt has you can become better than SK.

PS.Highlights don't prove anything
but 2 are good gl to winfakt :)
so it's hard to say who will be using it most now, but my dollars are on aslak, with h^n as 2nd sniper, as basics rifles are better :P
Post edited 2012-01-08 18:37:00
You're welcome
jk i read it
but will c new players
I think aslak should be the backup awp since H^N 's rifles are like a roulette

Thanks for the update though. still you guys will rock @ train when you pick up CT pistol I imagine
lurrpis what is with Freon. U ever thought of him joining WF?
edit: i guess that means i'd hate to play with freon more, so there's that
Post edited 2012-01-08 16:41:05
u really hate him ? :D
Maybe he not performed as expected vs top teams but he got the potential in skill level.
I think its not the case of basic that never was the strong point on their teams..
So its up to you to make a judge you know them more than me, but im talking about matches that ive seen because got some interesting to be streamed or so.
About the new line up members i know they have been playing for a long time but i have no clue about their performance on tournaments.
Im not against him because actually nasu did it worst.
Jigetus can step up as madfraguer or play agressive and make some kills its the most allround of the team.
And yup aslak its the best player of winkakt atm.
jigetus is a good player, but he's not aggressive any means, quite the opposite.
I mean if you dont got players of the size of gtr f0rest or neo to make those entrys you need to play a teamplay focused game and jigetus fix more in that role than basic or aslak they play too much by themselves.
But im very anxious to see H^N playig, i think his fame as an agressive awper make wf to use him as main awp and ofc aslak uses assault which its good with.
I have no clue about allu ive seen him several times dropping usp to him and playing as an entry player since nasu cant do it anymore.
In all those cases i cant find basic role in an execution more like him supporting his teamates with flashes or that stuff...
poor freon :/ ^^
so freon is not so bad player to play with :D
sad to see jigetus and nasu go, but unfortunately if they cannot commit, the team needs to move on with new players.
Good luck to the new Winfakt.
but imo H^N = jigetus > nasu > allu.
jigetus
allu
Freon

everyone knew the entire time that it was best of five before the final started (my facebook post BEFORE the final: https://www.facebook.com/tinttibg/posts/1527847081..
and yes, of course we buckled down and won when it really mattered, that's what better teams do.

goodluck to them though, hope they do well!

Hope that you guys will get along well and let us see Winfakt no.1 team this year!
H^N goood
anymore finland dm...
off. Maybe give them the edge they need to get
those 1st places.
Imo, they can do much more with this lineup.
my fav player goes inactive. :(
means i don't wanna live anymore
just joking
:DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
H^N and allu are talented players though, hopefully they can grow into their new clothes soon enough.
gl Alluuuuu
Well main reason for changing team was lack of practice which i agree you had problems due to various commitments
Replacement are in allu and H^N. Now u have three pure awpers in ur lineup does it change anything? Moreover,
if am not wrong H^N was in army could he perform to the existing level needed in today's competitive scenario?
nasu was tremendously good this year. y did he stop?
i personally feel u will certainly miss a pure skilled rifler in form of jigetus and to some extent nasu.
Nevertheless Good Luck!
omg, did you read the news ?
"Both Niko Kovanen and Ryhti will go inactive and won't be joining another team."
H^N had more hours on STEAM during the last few months of army than jigetus which is something we joked about pretty often
naSu stopped because he started a new school that wouldn't permit him to attend events anymore, he was also lacking motivation ever since he found out that would happen in October.
luxury position for you, having great AWPers :D

Nice, I think.
But, I love naSu ):
I think the line-up with jigetus and nasu is better than the one with allu and H^N.
It's gonna be interesting to see who's gonna pick up the big green because both aslak and H^N are masters with it. I think we saw a great player in H^N at Xperia PLAY and he was very impressive. I don't know much about allu just like that he played for the 2nd best team in Finland etc. so it will be interesting to see him in action and how good he can be.
Jigetus was as we all know one of the better players in WinFakt and I think it's gonna be hard for any player to fill in that position so it's gonna be interesting to see how H^N is gonna fill in that position because if anyone that isn't playing for WinFakt from Finland can do it, then H^N is the player. If I remember correctly he went to the Finnish army so that would mean he hasn't played the game for a while. Nasu was also a good player but I think he hasn't been as good as he once was, he has been pretty inconsistent this year.
Now that jigetus and nasu left WinFakt because of their busy schedule I think it would be more natural that plastE would fill in for one of the players so that kinda surprised me too that he didn't join the team since he was already in the team if I remember correctly but just as a stand-in player. So because jigetus and nasu can't play the best solution would in my opinion be to bring plastE and H^N instead of jig and nasu.
Some questions for lurppis if he sees this:
Who's gonna AWP in WinFakt now, aslak or H^N?
Why didn't you guys bring in plastE?
I know that you guys have streamed from your bootcamp place when you are preparing for tournaments so I wonder if you're gonna do that this time too?
Post edited 2012-01-08 18:01:07
plastE went inactive because he had no time, that is still the case
but allu was the best player in 2nd team of Finland.
H^N was pretty good too
Post edited 2012-01-08 18:02:19
he didn't do as good as expected for winfact
Haven't seen this one happen before. Nope, not even once.
I sometimes wonder if we would have -- at some point -- seen a great Finnish team, if against all odds one of the promising lineups we've seen over the years managed to stick together for more than a few months. Sort of like, I don't know... all the top teams in the history of this game?
sometimes there's things beyond your control, this is one of those times

gl lurppis, gonna be a nice team without a doubt!
Post edited 2012-01-08 18:47:30
-allu+jigge plz =(
but H^N and aslak in the same team?
who will be the main awper?
in my opnion H^N awp> aslak awp
so if H^N be the main awper aslak will be kinda useless because he is not soooooo good with rifles
(he is good ofc, but the worst "rifler" in WinFakt in my opnion)
H^N : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sbZLRhiIVM
aslak : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prx8PAcDmYc&fea..

at least aslak, lurppis and basic were more consistent
good luck Tomi with the new team
i did love to see him playing before he went to the Army.. I hope that he is that good as he once where =)
-jigetus bad move though

jiGetus obviously didn't awp

lurrpis what is with Mellu. U ever thought of him joining WF?
+jigetus
=amazing
Anyway, good luck for the team and the new players (:
I can't wait to watch them on fire ! :)
SHIT
he is damn good why did they replaced him
but i dont it will die so easy
still alot of good played standing
and alot more will to be pro's
some retires and other turning into pro's
thats the way things works
Post edited 2012-01-09 15:28:10
i mean aslak has already proved himself against teams like navi
but who is this H^N guy to come out of nowhere??
Jige really never met his potential and was way too inconsistent for prolevel. He might fit better in a younger team.
Nasu on the other hand is a player who is very hard to replace. He has incredible aim but it does show all that much since he's the guy to do a lot of the dirty work.
I woulda preferred danzer instead of allu but I guess danzer is not that active anymore
And i dont think its so bad. because allu and H^N great players just like nasu and jigetus. And now they got more time to practise. I just hope H^N gets his skills fastly back to same level as it was before he joined army :)
