Changes in WinFakt; allu & H^N join

Six months after the team was founded as paistit, WinFakt has recruited Aleksi "allu" Jalli and Hannu "H^N" Pohjalainen to fill the void left by departures of Jirka "jigetus" Ryhti and Niko "naSu" Kovanen.
The Finns became a part of WinFakt for e-Stars and have since then attended multiple international tournaments and secured themselves a spot among the top teams in the world with various top three finishes.
According to team captain Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen the team's main problem in the past months has been lack of solid practice which was limited a lot by Ryhti's work schedule. This move should give the team the ability to put in more practice.
WinFakt at IEM6 Global Challenge New York prize ceremony
The same time issues caused by Niko Kovanen and Ryhti were also the cause of WinFakt skipping over DreamHack Winter as they were unable to take time off of work and school. Both Niko Kovanen and Ryhti will go inactive and won't be joining another team.
Tomi Kovanen continued, saying Jalli and Pohjalainen are both extremely motivated and players of the newer and hungrier generation just like Verkkoperä and Fagerholm which should bode well for the team.
Jalli is best known as a former teammate of Verkkoperä in munkka and more recently played for aNimus at Digifest. Pohjalainen has previously played for Online Kingdom with Fagerholm, managing upset wins over mTw and Lions at Xperia Play last Spring.

WinFakt is currently bootcamping at SETT's offices in Helsinki and will continue to do so until their debut event with the new lineup, LanTrek 2012 on January 13-15 in Tampere, Finland.
Later this month they will attend IEM6 Global Challenge Kiev on January 19-22 where they will face fnatic, Moscow Five and mousesports in group B. WinFakt is also already qualified for IEM6 World Championships.

on finland you usually have to be 1 year in army. But if you want you can try to change it to ½ year. All who wants cant get ½ year command but H^N might have good reason or then he was lucky.

You can do it too if you have enough motivation, a place to practice with your team and sponsors which Winfakt has you can become better than SK.

You must play exact situations like hundred times, shoot from the same position, do the same 1vX retakes or attacks and you will get game sense like SK gaming players.

actually tho i've played with naSu i'd say he hasnt been in the old form in years, jigetus lacked the spotlight he used to have in smaller teams and allu as an individual is great. I like H^N too so this sounds interesting.

cant edit so i'll edit here.. played with naSu back in the days like 2001 or some shit like that and he wasnt that good at that time, not even prob better than me but in the near years he started to be great. i still learn new things and playstyles that can be used in various situations but i guess that has a certain limit too that comes with the experience. I think naSu was a great firstfragger and clutcher depending on which site he was holding on @ ct. great replacements if it's ok to say so..

aslak and basic already are amazing awpers, and then allu also used to awp in his other teams.
so it's hard to say who will be using it most now, but my dollars are on aslak, with h^n as 2nd sniper, as basics rifles are better :P

im not attempting to deny basic skils but if you check stats its always below their team performance just playing as a regular-bad guy, ive seen him in several positions on the map as ct doesnt make anything good and if you can say that have a stronger t side its not enought to make a difference.

the difference is basic goes in first so he dies a lot while for example jigetus is never the first guy in so he just cleans up 50hp guys, also bad days affect entry fragger way more.

sure i mean hes not the kind of guy that tries to make entrys by himself but even on the passive form he got a good timing to flank because you dont expect him to make agressive picks and that makes plays more interesting, on ct he plays some areas by himself specially in close range zones making some picks and trading rly fast.

i disagree, there is a fine line between playing team based and too passively. i think basic overall is the most complete player on this team easily although aslak has played better. i think basic could do what jigetus does and could awp almost as well as aslak

actually imo BASiC was the best player when paistit turned in to WF, he was carrying the team especially on de_nuke against top teams. After a while his performance started to level down a little.. the best moment of 2011 was when he moved from OK to team up with you. he still makes the kills but he used to take out 2-4 guys on his own in mid-round executes

actually not? the difference was that it was 2-0(bo3 end result) instead of 3-0 and ended up 2-3(bo5 end result) instead of 3-4. So if they would've played BO3 like both of the teams wanted, aNimus would've won the tournament with 2-0 overall score instead of losing BO5 2-3.

i think H^N and allu are on the same level tho they don't have the international experience yet. probably the greatest thing about jigetus was that he was often able to pull off 2-3 frags but for consistent player you should be able to take out at least ONE which was kinda his problem at least on WF as stated by few commentators as well. this situation occurs mainly as counter-terrorist.

kinda expected i guess after seeing them play that uyR cup yesterday. will be interesting to see how this plays out. i think jigetus is replaceable but it's gonna be tough to replace a guy like naSu who has been playing so well since the birth of WinFakt.

allu, BASiC and aslak are all riflers who have simply AWPed because no one else in the team was a "real" AWPer, aslak obviously turned out to be really good with the gun.
H^N had more hours on STEAM during the last few months of army than jigetus which is something we joked about pretty often
naSu stopped because he started a new school that wouldn't permit him to attend events anymore, he was also lacking motivation ever since he found out that would happen in October.

actually you might be able to play with mobile internet + laptop @ free time when you're at army.. also when on weekend vacations which is like what would i guess.. if u r 362 days in army u would have like over half of the weekends at home and half at army.. but like 180 days like H^N did they have significantly smaller percentage of free days.

it´s obvious that jigetus and Nasu are more experienced, and individually are better but if H^N and allu are keen, motivated and if you go through them to take more hours without doubt the change is better, hours, and motivation are the two most important things when you already have talent so good move lurppis.

It will be interesting to see how does this work. Nasu has normally played very aggressive and pushing forward as a counter-terrorist. For example he was one of those key players in maps like de_train because pushing heavily to yard to counter early rush.

maybe people see it as an immediate downgrade, but honestly if they can practice way more often than jigetus and nasu then i see it as an upgrade. H^N is a monster, although i'm not so familiar with allu. Sure, jigetus is a complete beast and one of finland's best, but if he can't put in the time then his play will surely show it. nasu always a Finnish legend, but if he lacks motivation then he might as well be replaced too.

what was the lineup of OK before basic went to paistit/WF ? H^N BASiC (jigetus?) x x.. can't remember tho i enjoyed watchin em. they made NICE damage @ xperia play.

Prolly for the better for WF.
Jige really never met his potential and was way too inconsistent for prolevel. He might fit better in a younger team.
Nasu on the other hand is a player who is very hard to replace. He has incredible aim but it does show all that much since he's the guy to do a lot of the dirty work.
I woulda preferred danzer instead of allu but I guess danzer is not that active anymore

And i dont think its so bad. because allu and H^N great players just like nasu and jigetus. And now they got more time to practise. I just hope H^N gets his skills fastly back to same level as it was before he joined army :)

h^n is good addition to the team but not so sure about allu he has some up and downs in gameplaying, sometimes he might be best in winfakt sometimes the worst. not sure about him because his balance is so bad.
