k1ck have announced they have picked up defs player Ricardo "rmn" Oliveira, replacing Gonçalo "spekz" Monteiro.

Last year wasn't the best for k1ck, with some domestic losses and poor performances outside the country, despite winning DreamHack South Europe. After welcoming Joaquim "axoN" Pinto back on board last month, k1ck today revealed the addition of Ricardo "rmn" Oliveira, who played for their rivals Defining Stars. 

Oliveira will take over for Gonçalo "spekz" Monteiro in the team. Monteiro had first joined the team as a substitute, when Joaquim "axoN" Pinto was removed earlier last year. 


Ricardo "rmn" Oliveira will now wear k1ck's colours.

The team's captain, Hélder "coachi" Sancho, commented on the move: 
"I guess everyone was waiting for this to happen, rmn was defs's best man and we know that with him in the team we can look for higher goals. This change will make the team really motivated to do some damage in our next tournaments."

k1ck now have:

Hélder "coachi" Sancho
Rui "SHOUW" Reis
Ricardo "foxj" Pacheco
Ricardo "rmn" Oliveira
 Christopher "mUttt" Fernandes
 Joaquim "axoN" Pinto

For now it is not known whether Monteiro will pursue his career in the Counter-Strike field.

They just created the portuguese dreamteam of all time, imo (if rmn continues to evolve the way he did this past coupple of years ofc).

Maybe if SHOUW was motivated and replaced mUt it would be the best ever, but I think this line-up will do a lot of damage.

Hope they train hard and show their value.

that i know, but a dream team is the best 5 players in Portugal, that imho are ehz fox axon keznitt/rmn and coachi as cap, spekz is a really good player i would rather see spekz than mutt.

that would be the best lineup so far in Portugal, no doubt about it. But i still bealive as i said and explaned in comment #29 that keznitt would be better for them. Still they didn't get worst, but they didn't get anybetter. They just end up destroying their only rival in Portugal lol, what is sad for Portuguese gaming, i hope NG step their game this year at least

But yeah, I think that the dreamteam would be this line-up but in 5th would be mUt/ehz.

I say this because mUt is already a great player and as potencial to be better, ehz already hitted his peak.

I will say you this, cause i've been watching and playing cs for a long time in Portugal, mutt was a GREAT player, nowadays is a GOOD player, he kills less than coachi, after they replaced ehz with mutt, after wining in Valencia against teams like x6tence and DN-gaming, they lost again against defs. Mutt won't get any better, in the last years the only get worst, or cs just evolved and he got stucked in the past, don't know really. But spekz is a more solid player than mutt is for sure.

I remember watching Defs vs K1CK early last year on d2, can't remember wich tournament it was, I just know K1CK lost and it was rmn's fault, he pretty much destroyed them... actually at the time I think rmn wasn't in Defs yet :s

now I'm confused I just remember I really got surprised by how good he is

they had a bad year, didn't have much time to practice and some important players got inactive.

1st axoN got inactive so they had to pick spekz
2nd coachi switched ehz and picked up mUt because of his agressive and skilled style
3rd SHOUW got inactive so they picked axoN again
4th they had the chance to pick roman who is one of the best portuguese aimers and they took out spekz who is actually more an awp player.

now the lineup is simply perfect
coachi (captain)
fox (awp)
mUt (2nd awp and pistoleer)
axoN, roman and SHOUW[inactive] - the three best pt aimers at the moment (my opinion)

keznit is also a crazy madafuckin' aimer but he is reformed now, just like darky :((

We just lost all of the possibility to get some competitive gaming here. Will be one team picking all the prizes and four of five teams taking 5/6 rounds per game vs K1CK. With the 'old' line-up from defs we could see some exciting games, at least, between defs x k1ck. Hoping too see K1CK raping around abroad.
