Mandic closes its doors
Today it's been announced that the Brazilian project which was sponsored by Mandic and Razer has not been renewed for 2012.
The team was started in September when fans were allowed to vote for players to make it on the team, though the lineup ended up featuring all of the former FireGamers and compLexity.br lineup regardless of the voting results.
It was already revealed back then that the project would launch with a plan for the rest of 2011 and now that the year has ended, Mandic has announced that the project will not be extended for 2012 and they will not be sponsoring another team, choosing to focus on events instead.
Mandic was:

According to Toledo on his website, the squad that won WCG Pan-America over Evil Geniuses and placed 5-8th at World Cyber Games 2011 will continue trying to achieve things together.

he is a young player and he is very good. Also he don't lost him game against great teams, he was the only player that played well against ESC(moddi,kalle...) He is a really good player and i like him.

Well teams from the Americas travel expenses to European tourneys is a little too much given that they don't win. Smart decision. With the decline of $ in 1.6 you gotta be smart with it, keep it in Europe and keep the game alive there.

Mandic was never meant to be a long time eSports supporter/organization, they signed a 4 months contract just to get some short term benefits, mainly for public relations and such. Brazil is really isolated from the rest of the CS world which is unfortunate as they still have some hidden talents, so this whole mandic situation was predictable.

cuz mibr.com.br is completely dead, forum off, no news anymore and etc. mibr was mibr WITH cogu, without him its not mibr anymore... Plus, no sponsors on Brazil, and mandic need changes, mibr, firegamers, col, mandic, almost same line... Their igl is not good enough, cant compare him with starix, kuben, theart, robban, carn, arcadion, ed1k etc, hes too low, mandic got amazing fraggers and a very good awper, but their strategy sucks... So primitive, look at their demos, comon ¬¬

made marketing through facebook where you must "enjoy" (curtir) his page and everything about them...
The end was announced with false voting where your picked your favorites players and the 8 top rated would be appointe by Alexandre "gaules" borba...

Brazilian cs needs to let the talents go forward, like GamerHouse or whatever they're name is. It feels like Europe are letting new talents rise and Brazil is playing with the same players as before.
