Former mTw star Martin "trace" Heldt has slammed the rumors of him being the new fifth in fnatic's Counter-Strike team.
With yesterday's announcement of Faruk "pita" Pita leaving fnatic, guesses on who would be the new fifth have been falling on a few players currently without a team.
One of the guesses, and probably hopes of many, was the former mTw member Martin "trace" Heldt, who ever since mTw closed its doors, has been without a team.
Heldt has however closed the door on possibly being the new fnatic fifth, with a simple, yet telling comment: "I won't join fnatic".

trace is not the new fnatic fifth
Asked whether he has plans of continuing playing, Heldt revealed to HLTV.org, that he indeed has plans to continue and furthermore will be present at the IEM6 World Championship in March.
Heldt did not want to reveal with which team, but given the fact that the former mTw players have a spot for the World Championship, as they are ranked seventh on the IEM rankings, Heldt could very well make an appearance with some of his former team mates.
In regards of who will join fnatic, a strong candidate after yesterday's news fell upon former ESC Gaming mad-fragger Andreas "MODDII" Fridh, who today has been seen in same server as the fnatic team.
Fridh's former team mate Markus "pronax" Wallsten has furthermore posted "Congratz to MODDII :) good luck andreas!" on his facebook page, not directly saying he joins fnatic, but pretty much strengthens the possibility of it happening.
The announcement of fnatic's new fifth is set to be announced tonight, taking place via fnatic's own3D.tv channel.
+1
gl to moddi and hope that trace will find a good team to make seriously damage in the world!
Am I the only one who felt that made NO sense at all?
trace would not be able to communicate with teammates as well as MODDII can
but if talking about personal skills, trace is better.
hope U get it now!
if not, reply me, I will try to explain better.

And secondly, there are many other things which MODDII is better than trace at.
Therefore you were wrong when you said "trace is better in any case".
That's why I felt you didn't make any sense with your comment.
for ex. in which case MODDI is better than trace ?
Trace is more of a mid-defensive player, that's where I see him as most effective.
but of course U understand that was just my own opinion :)
I`m sure that MODDII will help the team very much and wish him best of luck in all this stuff
whatever, if cArn think that 3 super aggro players can work... then gl to them

Best entry fragger @2010
for me trace is just better :)

If they would need trace they would already contacted him.

trace was mtw's awper because there was no one better, trace is a rifler
oh and you're the guy that said carn + forp + gtr + gux + moddii = WIN???
team without a stable first awp...that just shows your insight and knowledge of the game
MODDI is very agressive and likes to pick up kill early in the game like trace , they have a very similar gamestyle but trace is better anydays with any gun ;)
cheers.
