ANGE1 joins Na`Vi staff

Earlier today Natus Vincere announced that Kirill "ANGE1" Karasiow has become a part of its staff as a project manager and therefore gone inactive as a player.

Lately rumors surfaced about Karasiow joining either Na`Vi or Moscow Five as a player, but todays news and his answers in an interview on navi-gaming.com have now put the rumors to rest.

One of his main jobs as part of the organization will be streaming matches for Natus Vincere which should be an interesting option for the CIS viewerbase. He will also launch some so far unannounced projects later on.


ANGE1 playing for DTS at DreamHack Summer 2011

When asked why Karasiow chose to leave DTS and whether or not it's connected to joining Natus Vincere or if it's just a problem with motivation, he said the birth of his daughter last month and DTS' problems performing both played a part in it.

He also said he doesn't see himself returning as a player, although he would think a "more than tempting" invitation over, as he thinks it's time to focus on other things in life.

Karasiow first got his breakthrough as a part of HellRaisers with long time teammate Yegor "markeloff" Markelov, and has been widely considered as one of the best Ukrainian players for years.

Old SK are great no denying that. But with the level of play in this "era" of cs I think it qualifies ESC as better. Especially considering the major titles they have won and have had 2 roster changes like ever during their prime(might be one or two more)and who knows if the CPL was still around who would have the most championships.

I was actually thinking that fnatic in general might be the best team ever but I'm sticking to my guns on this one due to major event titles for ESC. But you are arguably correct as fnatic I would also say had the most skilled roster (possibly ever?) in 2009. Not accounting for the skill level of the 2003 SK roster as the games pace and style is incredibly different.

I still think teams like ESC and SK are better than Na`Vi in overall no matter what the last results showed.

Na`Vi is indeed a super strong team, not saying otherwise, I just find it funny to see such great player as ANGE1 acting as a manager / streamer in a team he can play for sure.
