Do you have questions for the retired Patrik "cArn" Sättermon? If so, then be sure to post them to this news, as we will be conducting a retirement interview with the 26-year-old Swede Friday during the second to last day of the IEM6 World Championship.
Sunday last week, Patrik "cArn" Sättermon announced that he would retire after the IEM6 World Championship. With a loss against Natus Vincere in the quarter-finals, Sättermon has officially retired from professional gaming.

cArn's career ended in Hannover
Sättermon has agreed to feature in a retirement interview with HLTV.org, which will be recorded Friday. This is your chance to get your questions answered by the former fnatic in-game leader. If you have questions, post them in a comment below, we will be going through the comments before the interview and pick some that will be included.
The interview will be posted sometime next week. Knowing how in-depth answers Sättermon usually gives, you can expect a lengthy interview to appear.

Will you in your journeys be soon in any balcans country? I would die for a chance to c u
If u can make dream team 2012 what will bee line up? :)
Who was the best player you have ever played with and why?
Tnx cArn for all games and this years sow good games and tactical. :)
2 - Best match of your life

Did you ever finished high school/went to college ?
Do you think you have done everything you could do for the development of cs?
What will you do know with your professional life, will you rest for a while and then try to find a job?
I wish you the best luck in the world in your personal and professional life!
Thank you for everything
Best regards,
Francisco Silva
or Question 2: Will you still do Raidcall gathers like you did before? It was really fun to watch play with the pros, regardless of not being a part of the professional scene surely you'll still play CS for the fun of it.

Just good luck on your life, you deserve all the best. It was honour to play near you, to talk with you, and to watch you. Hall of fame will wait for players with class like you, you will be always remembered and will live with young players. Best luck, hope you'll get all your life goals.
Respect.
and will you play for fun on public servers sometimes?
If you had another life, would it be the same, or would you like to do sth else than professionaly playing counter strike ?
Please ask him !!!!

1st round loss
$1900
2nd round loss
$2400
This would lead to only one ecoround when you're getting moneyfucked (full famasbuy as CT or a poor m4buy, good buy as T).
I've suggested this to the guys at CSPromod, and I want to get some proplayer opinions.
I know for a fact that HeatoN, Walle and XeqtR have all complained about the moneysystem, but it would be nice to hear cArn's thoughts as he is the most experienced ingame leader and one of CS strongest minds ever.
Please include this question, it could lead to an even better Counter-Strike if CSP goes big! :D
Also, why do you think there isn't a single big swedish e-sportsorganisation? :O I think it's really strange, we've a lot of topplayers in basically every game, but not a single top-multigaming team.
Looking forward to the interview, cArn has been my favourite player since I've started playing CS back in 2006, and I have a big smile on my face everytime I listen to a interview with him.
Post edited 2012-03-08 23:41:22
And once again thank you, cArn, for everything.
What do you think about MODDII this tournament?
2.Your dreamteam?
Post edited 2012-03-08 23:43:19
Can you name one player that you haven't played with but you really wish you did?
cArn do you have a motto? In case of "yes", what is it then?
2. How did you colligate life as a professional player and life as a normal guy?
2.is xizt going to be the next igl?
3.what will you be doing now?job?school?
4.Will you play mixes from now like other retired players do?
5.will you marry?if yes then whom and when?
6.people keep telling that u are the best igl,how do you feel about it?
7.tell any secret about you or fnatic which the world doesn't know.
8.other than cs what is the thing which you do or like to do?ex:dancing, singing?
9.best match/tournament/mix?
10.pls answer this one.which is better?
Ikari,xai,DA,G400,G500,MS3.0 for a palm gripper
What you feel when Sam and Harley choose you to be part of fnatic in 2006 ?
my 2 questions for you Patrik :)
Also, what do you think about Finnish players and Finnish style of playing?
Post edited 2012-03-08 23:59:19
1- What was your biggest achievement during your CS 1.6 times?
2- Best player you've played with and best player you've played against?
3- For you, what is needed in a team in order to start winning some matches?
4- What was the hardest time in your career?
5- Why did you decided to go pro in CS 1.6?
6- What is your dreamteam? (from current scene)
7- How do you, as an IGL, train your team and tactics?
8- What is your biggest dream?
9- How does it feel to win tournaments against teams like ex-Frag eXecutors, SK-Gaming, etc.
10- How did you climb that high on CS scene?
Wish you the best of luck for your studies,
A real fan of yours, CHAOTIX :D
and
when building a new team, what requirements should be considered?
Bad day for e-sports, but good lock in future job. E good job man, you are a living legend!
2. After you retire, other than working for fnatic behind the scene with Sam, do you have any plan on contacting Valve and possibly working with them developing CS:GO into a more 'playable' game for the 1.6 community?
3. We saw 2011 as one of the most competitive years in 1.6 history, what is your opinion on 2012? Do you foresee any team dominating? Will it be another fierce battle between ESC, SK, and NaVi as in 2011? Is there any team that you think could be the dark horse?
4. You stated in your recent interview that Xizt could be the next fnatic strat caller, if that's the case, does it mean that fnatic is trying to bring in a player that has a different role than you? Are they going to pick an experienced player from other teams? Or is it going to be a totally new player?

As i said in my first statement, his success is FACT, get over it.
Good luck in life, you will need it. Adios.
Post edited 2012-03-09 13:36:14
What about this dickhead?
Stop being ignorant. He is by far the most recognized e-sports player and IGL and his greatness lies in the fact that despite him leading weak team Ukranians and Polish have always mentioned that they find fnatic hard to play to as they cArn is pretty good (best in business) in making strats and anti-strat them and optimally improvise.
why i change me opinion about your? (when me post was like -carn + fyrrie)?
cuz men i see your form back to top from some like 2 months' it's big advance... i see before hanover you are play better much better than 4 months ago , normal ... but on hanover you'r form are great... soo sad i was watch you long time and critic you much time's and now i am sad realy....
becouze if for that comment's move you to end carrer i will be realy bee sad :/
first time i was wrong but realy long time it's some like 4-6 month's when i think if you play shitty , now your play on hanover was great and also some like 1 month ago i was see lite form + from bad to almost normal .. but hanover was great !
men if you play best at this 2-3 years why you wana end now ? ;/ :M< if it's your choice i will respect this but ... you deserved to be fnatic leader

As spec7or Im also curious if you ever had any offer to join SK-Gaming.
How is the new fnatic lineup going to look like?^^
How is social life playing professional cs?

Patrik "cArn" Sättermon
Did you ever play with Queen and was she good enough to play with guys?

If Fragbite want to do interwiev with you about your career like they did with zet, walle and probably more players. would you do it?
At dreamhack winter 2011 when the msi commercial came up on bigscreen the croud went crazy when you popped up, did that help you/fnatics preformance in the final vs lions?
AND ITS NOT FUCKING QUESTION.
Good luck cArn, take a little break, cya!

What part of Pro-Gaming would you miss the most apart from the matches?
A lot of the fans feel there is no such IGL that can replace you ever. But apart from Xizt which you mentioned in an interview who do you think can fill your place?
Post edited 2012-03-09 05:55:13
-Does he think he should of retired once Forest/Get_Right left?
-Whos IGL does Patrik respect the most?
-The amount of knowledge Patrik would have about CS would be phenomenal, has he any intention to share it with the public?
-Any plans to be the next Fatality? i.e Product branding, commentating, event appearances?
-How do you feel about the BENQ adverts with Spawn/HeatoN? Do you feel they portray a negative image either inside or outside of Sweden?
-How would you prefer to spend your time now that you won't have 40 hours practise each week?
-If you could change one gameplay element in professional Counter-Strike 1.6 what would it be? Why?
-Do you believe Denmark would have a top 2 in the world team if Friis, Trace, Ave, Karrigan and Zonic all played in the same team?
-Using your vast insight, do you intend on commenting on the scene, becoming more public with your opinions in future, such as your personal favourite players, tournament predictions or even negative comments such as bad line-up choices, people who need to be replaced?
Just to name a few. I would like to say that it has been a pleasure watching Patrik and his teams all the way from Australia. You're an inspiration to all would-be in game leaders around the world and I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavours and I would love to see you explore down under in the near future.
What is your biggest rival?
what was it for you Counter-Strike?
Have you ever thought about commentating matches as an in game expert, same way as Lurppis does?
Is it possible that you will become new team coach for fnatic and what kind of role would that be?
Is it possible to see carn playing some other game professionally in the future? :)
What are your thoughts on cs:go? Do you think that it could appeal on both, cs 1.6 and source communities in a way that cs could get back it's old mid 2000 glory?
Looking back. Do you have any regrets about going pro? Would you do it again?
A ball park figure... how much money have you made overall on your esports career?? :)
i want to know this for quite some time...
what happened on de_nuke when you were by the squeaky door and fire 2 stunning deagle headshoots
what was that ? :))))
ps: i don't know what year it was :S
Do you tend to stick on doing a work involving games? Just like sPawn and Heaton?
"There were so many roster changes the past few months, do you think fnatic needs a fresh batch of players in order to start a new era? How does it feel you won't be part of it ?"
2
"cArn will always be a nickname to remember. But in reality we barely know you as a person. Who's the guy behind the "mask" ? If you could travel to the past, would you stop yourself from playing Counterstrike?"
3
"cArn is leaving for good. Was that an over night decision or a well thought one ? What will be the thing you will miss more about gaming scene? Are there any chances to see you as a coach?"
Thank you.
What do you think about this players? Probably they are the best in-game leaders over the past years: ave, mooN, walle, XeqtR, vesslan, lurppis, Rambo, solo.
2. You were supposed to retire in 2009? What made you think not to do so? Do you believe fnatic team will be able to produce good results after your departure?
3. After ESWC 2010 why did you take Gux back when you could services of Delpan back then as you needed good awper on the same level with markeloff?
4. Tell us one or two line about each of the players you played with in fnatic.
how do you see fnatic in the future whithout you ?
what was the best moment of your career ?
Also, any chanse of meeting you 1on1? =)
What is the "secret tips" you have told at Pita when he came to fnatic ? :)
Best regards from a very oldschool player like you !
DMs? aim maps? ffa? lots of mixes? demos? team play? hs only? combintation of all? whats the most important?
Thank you for all.
2. A lot of people are trashtalking after bad match of some player/team. What we (community) don't know about making a team? What is the most important?
3. Will you be a coach of new fnatic line-up?
4. You were traveling around the world, which country you like the most?
5. When your team is losing what igl should do?
6. Aim-wise how important it is? 50% impact or more?
7. People are looking on scoreboard many times, igl is underrated, did you feel sometimes underestimated?
8. People are asking about the most important victory but i will ask about your painful lost.
9. Do you feel that your life is oryginal because of eSport career?
10. Who inspirated you to playing?
11. Why are you igl? Do you like it?
I think that's all for now.
I would like to thank you for those crazy years. You were and you are great inspiration for me. I wish you best of luck in future life.
Greetings from Poland. ;)
Who do you think will take your place in new lineup?
Is there any posybility for you to come back?
favorite fnatic lineup?
biggest win of your career?
favorite event?
favorite opponents in- and outside of the game?

And wich do you remember best? The painfull losses, or the sweet victories?
If you were to choose an "alltime team", only including former teammates of yours for a last showmatch, wich four players would you pick?
And thanks for all the great matchs we had against eachother, even so i would wish we had won a few more of them c,")

Have you had problems with playes from your team, that you got to the point when you thought of kicking them out?
Why do you see it a necessity to get in players from other countries when there is already so much of talent back home keeping in mind that such a move could lead to communication and cultural gap among the team members.
Also Do all the players have a say when such a move is being made or is it only you and sam that decide the changes that are to be made in the team
Do you see any one from LIONS fitting in the current fnatic lineup?
because the withdrawal?
What to do now, after playing 10 hours a day?
if a complete withdrawal or you will keep playing?
2. will gaming miss you?
Post edited 2012-03-09 22:15:34
What do you plan to do for a living after you retire from gaming? You have been a professional gamer for a long time and tournament prizes, advertising gaming products were your only "jobs" if I'm right.
First of all, before you became a cs professional, did you graduate from college and or highschool?
And also, if you are 25+ years old when you quit cs, how the hell are you supossed to find a job? I mean its harder to get a job when you're older than if you just graduated from university for example...
So how do you supossed to find a job when you're old?
-How does one manage to keep his best after such a huge time span , what motivated you and are you sad because you left the thing that made you happy ? - It's a dream when you can live off and do what you love and do the best. Sincerely a big time fan ^_^
And one more question.Could you please tell us a bit more about gtr's and forest's departure? What caused it and how you felt about this one?
Thanks a lot, it's sad that you retired, but glhf in your future, hope it'd be as bright as your cs career.
