Skopje CS Masters has been announced to take place May 19-20 in Boris Trajkovski Sports Center with a 7,000€ prize purse.

Digital Gang and Mighty IT have announced they will be throwing a 7,000€ tournament in the Macedonian capital Skopje, taking place at the Boris Trajkovski Sports Center, a sports arena with a maximum capacity of 10,000.  


Boris Trajkovski Sports Center, the venue for the tournament 

The event will also play host to an exhibition, featuring 30 booths for domestic and international sponsors. The event will have 160 computers available and the organizers expect to attract 112 teams, of which 70 spots have been reserved for Macedonian teams.  

The 7,000€ prize purse, which the organizers state they will obtain a bank guarantee for, will be paid to the top three finishers.

Teams wanting to participate will have to pay a fee of 75€ and can apply by sending an email to contact@mightyit.mk.

It was also noted that the organizers will provide free transportation from Belgrade, Serbia and Sofia, Bulgaria to and back from the event.

It's almost dead, but not quite as you describe it, we even sent a team to WCG 2008 or 2009 and there is still some people actively playing(skilled people). But you can't know that if you dont play

In case you haven't seen, they provide free transportation from 2 locations back and forth from the event and beside that they have other expenses like renting the Sport Center and many more :).
The prizes are very good, stop trolling.

LE: Oh and I just summed up the capital of the lan, and it's 8400e, yet the prizes are 7k and you're still complaining ?

That's insane. Is CS the only game they play? We struggle to get 16 in the UK but they're talking about a 112 team event.

this year yes. However if you take into consideration that there were only 55 teams this year and everyone got to see, play and game @ Boris Trajkovski along side Lanfest + got some free gifts etc it was super ok. And this time its different because it International, its 75 euro which is 15 euro from a player, and Last two tournaments had max 20 teams only because ENTiTY were not allowed. So my point is that ppl dont pay 1000 denars to see ENTiTY play @ events but are willing to pay 4.2k denars to see every other Balkan team play - non sence. They would rather pay the fee to watch from the stands trust me!

But It was so big (all of macedonia and so on) that the western countries (England and so on) decided to fall it to pieces and bulgaria was shrinked to very small territory.After that there was mass migration and other wars going on(in wich bulgaria was 3 times looser) and the territory was shrinked to nowadays borders! So every country has territories that is filled with people that speak the same language (which i normal due to migration)! So its pointless to argue about politics cuz in different times those territories was to one or another country and nowadays nations have very few in common to those in the past. Actually i do believe that macedonians to Bulgaria are as Ukraine to Russia :) I cant admit that they deserve the name macedonia nowadays cuz they live in the place's where filip and alexander the great were as they were macedonians :) Other than that Alexander rulled GREEKS and all achievemnts was made for and by the greaks but that doesnt change the fact that he was macedonian(something like Ozil for the German national soccer team) :) Other than that greeks have very few in common with ancient greeks (even the language has very few similarities) and its true that Macedonians are famous for stealing history :) i hope that was quite enough :) peace

the language has many similarities. But 30-40 years before goverment changed the writting style from politonic in monotonic. Though a common Greek can read ancient Greek.

but that doesnt change the fact that he was macedonian. You must realize that macedonians were another Greek tribe of many. There was NOT only one tribe called "Greeks". There were four basic tribes(Acheans,Iones,Dorians,Eolians) and many sub tribes from each one, such Magnetans,Macedonians,Pamfalians,Cynourians,Etrichians,Vioteans,Chaoneans,Molosseans etc. Why nobody wants to realize that?

Serbia was never part of Macedonia, in fact in 1913. there was a great Serbia and Macedonia was just a part of it and in 1918. there was created the Kingdom of Serbs Croatians and Slovenians :) no hard feelings but i know my history ^^

The people in "upper Macedonia" are allowed to call themselves however they want I suppose.
There is no harm in calling yourselves Macedonians as far as it concerns your origins only and as long as you don't rewrite history.

Politically, I agree that no Greek Government should accept a plain "Macedonia" name for FYROM. The name should be different than one of Greece's largest regions (which borders with the northern countries).

Well, think about it for a second.
If Macedonia was officially a country with that exact name their people would be called Macedonians, right? What about the people in Greece then, that we call Macedonians? Are they the same as that country's people? By name it should seem so, but it's not the same. Macedonians of Macedonia region in Greece are Greeks.
Macedonians of Macedonia country are Macedonians though according to them.
Would that mean that all Macedonians are Greeks or vice versa or both?
Wait a minute.. anyone confused? ;p
Politically, that's the issue.

But anyway, politics and "names" are less important than being humane...
There is no reason for the people of both countries to be in conflict.
Let our governments worry about politics. :p

Let me explain the situation of Macedonia in the most simple terms.

1. People from the Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia are SLAVS. Not of Ancient Greek heritage, not Macedonian, therefore not Greek. For gods sake their language is of slavic origins..

2. It is true that a small part of FYROM used to be part of the Ancient Greek Macedonia. But 4/5 of the region Macedonia is in Greece. This would be like if Thessaloniki, a Greek city in the Greek Macedonia, changes its name to Macedonia and denies the fact that it used to be Greek.

Don't try and change human history. You are a worthless plot of land and I hope everyone knows this truth.
