ECL 2012 this weekend

ECL 2012 Season I LAN Finals will be held this coming weekend on April 13-15 in Beijing, China with the nation's four best teams competing for the title.

Last season's finals ended with Ultimax Gaming USA winning the tournament in a grand final against eFuture that was overturned due to a flash bug under one of the walls on de_train.

This time there won't be a foreign team in attendance however, as TyLoo, ex-eFuture, ETeng and TFE.BenQ will be the four teams that will battle it out in Beijing for a piece of the 17,000 RMB prize money.

Former wNv and TyLoo member Zhengwei "alex" Bian will also make an appearance at the event, although this time in the role of a coach of the BenQ sponsored TFE team, which comes as no surprise after he was announced as ZOWIE's marketing coordinator.

Prizes:

1st - 10,000RMB + free trip and accommodation
2nd - 4,000RMB + free trip and accommodation
3rd - 2,000RMB + free trip and accommodation
4th - 1,000RMB + free trip and accommodation

Unlike last time when the tournament was split up over a week with a separate group stage and double elimination bracket, this time the entire tournament will be played in best-of-one double elimination elimination.

ECL will feature a total of four seasons including a grand finals event with a 70,000RMB prize purse. It is currently unknown whether or not the event will feature HLTVs or stream, but we will do our best to have both available via our website.
