DreamHack, the world's largest computer festival, has announced the dates for the 2013 and 2014 events.
Since 2001, DreamHack has held events at the Elmia Exhibition and Convention Centre in Jönköping, Sweden. Last year DreamHack renewed the deal with Elmia, in conjunction with the announced of dates for the 2011 and 2012 events.
DreamHack today announced the dates for the 2013 and 2014 events, stating a new multi-year deal has been signed with Elmia.

Returning to Elmia means a return to this auditorium, known as DreamArena Extreme
The dates for the summer and winter events in 2013 and 2014 have been announced to take place on the following dates:
DreamHack Summer 2013 – 15-18 June
DreamHack Winter 2013 – 28 November – 1 December
DreamHack Summer 2014 – 14-17 June
DreamHack Winter 2014 – 27-30 November
The summer event for 2012 will begin in a month, running June 16-19, while the winter event will take place November 22-25.

"alle jagar mig"
..
it's stipid to believe in this shit
a lot of ppl say about it but they are not even know what will happen in this "day of die"
-WE LOVE CS 1.6-
Now coming back to topic: I can't understand why nerds are freaking out about CS death. CS already proved to be unique, resisting the death for 12 years, I believe? Even after VALVE abandonned, the game is still resisting.. WC3, on the other side, was killed by Blizzard itself.
So I don't think CS can die, only become heavily limited over the years.
n1
somebody say that 1.6 is dying?

Just days ago the oldest Mayan calendar known so far was found and proved all this 2012 world end is fake.

People might even end up living like Morlocks [spoiler], who knows...
I got the idea from Stargate SG-1 though, but they solved the issue by warping the meteor through the planet and come out the other side, don't ask how it's sci-fi lol.
CS is still alive. Games like Diablo, Dota always existed since CS is up.
CS is a different kind of game, so stop comparing CS with LoL/hon/dota/diablo for fuck sakes.
CS still have the best gameplay among FPS games. Unless another game come up with a better gameplay, CS will be alive.
If it was up to CS players the game would never die.
CS in South America isn't dead. The lack of investment never let our gaming grow. Our hope was at mibr times, when we had a minimum of investment on CS scene. In North America, CS is currently "dead" because their idols retired.
On Europe, it's alive. We still have a high competition team on each traditional country: Finland(ex-winfakt) Germany(Alternate) Sweden(SK,fnatic, lemondogs) denmark(eSrael, anexis), Poland (ESC), Russia (M5), Ukraine( Na´Vi, KNet )
Sponsors does worry about graphics, but their main target are fans. VALVE didn't colaborate either for CS 1.6 growth. Dota/HoN/LoL are big right now because there are investments on tournaments ETC.
Have you ever imagined if VALVE created some kind of online tournaments or arranged match making? Created servers on every continent? CS would be so big you'd never know.
We should be worried of not letting CS die. For example: motivate every CS fan to watch CS matches, improve the audience and stuff. On the other side, what we are doing? Some fans are accepting the death fact and lost their hope on this game. And why that happened? Because some teams dismantled. And why teams dismantled? Because players got so old that they need to focus their lives more. If we fully support Counter-Strike, new teams will come out. CS might be dead on some minds, but if we fight hard we can change this paradigm. Sorry for any english mistake, it's not my main language..
What is NVIDIA/ATI going to sell if they sponsor CS? A 128 mb graphic card which handles CS at 100 fps
What is intel going to sell to CS fans a i7 processor? You can play the game with 1 3.2ghz cpu just watch one IEM video on youtube people say a 1999 game with i7 processor ?
Steelseries have a reason to sponsor CS team just for example fnatic pad is the most famous SS pad out there and headphones mice pads they are necessary for CS and SS sells many products because players use it.
About Valve not sponsoring CS they are working on many games they wont make a tournament of an old game and attract viewers because they are working on CS:GO and previously on CS:S which was a big fail and they never cared about CS they are focusing on Dota 2 they made a $1 Million tournament and the game is only on Beta stage and it's extremely popular many people are looking for a beta key even in HLTV.org and waiting for the full release.
The fans are doing a great job keeping the game alive on steam it's the most played game and when there are tournaments there are many viewers but so many events dropped CS even the players are talking about how they need a change and maybe they will switch CS:GO (example GTR and f0rest were playing a lot of CSGO before the Intel Challenge and in an interview GTR said that the games has improved a lot and has a chance to replace CS.)
I hope the games stays alive because it's simply the best game ive ever played and many people have the same opinion.
and also fuck all new thingz old skool > everything new
