WinFakt sign Lemondogs

Following our report from earlier today, WinFakt have announced they have brought Lemondogs on board.

After Lions opted against renewing the players' contracts in March, Lemondogs came into the picture and sent to Copenhagen Games. The team have since stuck with the Swedish organization.

When WinFakt announced they had decided to discontinue their cooperation with their Finnish team, rumors about Lemondogs making the move quickly emerged.

Earlier today, these rumors were strengthened by HLTV.org's report, which indicated that both sides were interacting.

WinFakt, through their official website, have now revealed that the former Lemondogs squad will be donning their colors, confirming they have been in talks over the last couple of weeks.

Björn "threat" Pers said the following about the move:

It is with a good spirit that announce our new home, WinFakt. We are really happy and excited about this move
and we hope that we can keep showing some great results with our new tag!

WinFakt's management also commented on the acquisition, expressing excitement and giving praise to their former team.

"A few of our fans expected us to pick up CS:GO but at the very moment, we don't see any signs of a competitive scene for this game. Our roots are within the Counter-Strike scene and we owe the former team a lot. By picking up Björn and his team, we once again showed faith in this old game which is nonetheless still rocking!"

The last team were actually better in my opinion, the issue was getting them all to the same LAN etc, seemed to be a few unavoidable issues within that team as far as time management goes and unfortunately with the way the scene is now you have to be cut throat.

This team still hold some quality though, i'm sure they will win some of the lesser events if they bother to go.

Hopefully we will see them traveling as much as the Finnish squad did. Love this team - hope they come up with a big win this year. Always amazing to watch this team in the final (ex: DHwinter' 11)

They managed to qualify for the upper bracket final at copenhagen games 2012 duo to under preforming from all the teams they meet on the way. true storry they can play verry well, but as the scene is at the moment ex-winfact dont have what it takes to stay at level with ESC, Fnatic and SK.

I love Lemondogs but that's not right.Winfakt is replace a Finnish team who's got better results than Lemondogs.Aslak and company is the same level such as Lemon maybe better...and one young perspective team is broken..

P.S. aslak,basic,alllu,han.. this 4 guys had one soul,do not quit, you 4 must play in the same team,fuck the name!

The Finns were kinda taking advantage of WinFakts amazing sponsorship. They got to go to every tournament almost, but what did WF get in return... Lurppis being away and the team not practising and preforming most of the time OK and couple of times good.

The ex-Lions are totally on the same level as the top teams at the moment. I bet now if they get to attend all events and they keep up their motivation, im sure they can take some trophies.
