ESL Pro Series Spain IX announced

Game: Counter-Strike 1.6

The Electronic Sports League has announced a ninth ESL Pro Series season for Spain.

The ninth edition of the league will hand out 20,000€ in the four games for the season - Counter-Strike 1.6, Counter-Strike: Source, StarCraft II and League of Legends. For CS 1.6 the total prize pot will be 5,800€, distributed as listed below:

1. 2,100€
2. 1,000€
3. 600€
4. 300€

IFNG bonus 1,800€

The previous season concluded in February with x6tence winning it by defeating 34united 2-0 in the grand final to win the 1,500€ first place prize.

x6tence will compete this season too, alongside 15 additional teams. The 16 teams have been split into four groups of four teams. Groups were made based on results from last season, as well as the EAS qualifiers.

As you might notice, the newly announced team Giants is not to be found on the participants list, which is due to the team not qualifying via the previous EAS season. The team will most likely have to play EAS this season, in the hopes of qualifying for a potential season ten.

The organizers expect the schedule for the new season to be announced in the coming days.

We got banned cause crappy rules of ESL, I'm not playing in any other ESL tournament from now on.

I got punished because of GCO last lineup accumulated too many minor points and ONE MAJOR POINT, that was for not attending to play the EPS VII Finals, which were AGAINST ME. Yeah, I got banned because MY RIVALS didn't show up to face me a YEAR AGO.
