The 4,000€ xfunction Fraglider Cup by CJM has concluded with k1ck beating zNation 2-0.

Three days in Porto has passed, with the Portuguese team of k1ck winning the first place prize of 3,000€. Since our last report, the remaining round of 16 matches concluded with expected results.

In the quarter-finals-finals, we witnessed tight matches, the most interesting was without a doubt between Tommi "Potti" Ingemarsson's IMBA and the home court favorites from k1ck. The match went to three maps and on third map de_inferno the teams needed overtime to settle the match.

The home crowd favorites pulled the longest straw, winning 2-1 overall. Also x6tence and semXorah had a close encounter, with the Spaniards eliminating the Brazilian team 2-1. NorthernGrade and zNation also advance from the quarters, following victories against madjick and Phantoms respectively.

The semi-finals ended 2-0, zNation beating x6tence and k1ck beating NorthernGrade. While the quarter-finals were very close and exciting, the tendency from the semi-finals continued in the final, as it was very one sided.

On first map de_train, k1ck got a superb start from the Terrorists side, scoring 13 rounds against two for the Russians. As sides changed, the Portuguese teams had no trouble securing three rounds, winning 16-5 for a 1-0 lead.

Not much changed on second map de_dust2. Starting on the CT side, k1ck once again had a massive lead at half-time, leading 12-3. Different from first map was that the Russians this time managed to get seven rounds before k1ck claimed the 16th to win 16-7 and 2-0 overall.
