Our 53rd "Frags from the past" clip is a veritable nostalgia bomb which comes from the United States.

After several actions on de_cbble and Tentpole's ace on de_cpl_fire, we come across another long forgotten map which is de_prodigy. Even though nowadays prodigy is considered to be a fun map, Brian "destrukt" Flander displays a proper play on it, managing to take down the entire opposing team while retaking the small bombsite.

yeah man... de_cbble its grate map! ideal colores of textures imho... green grass looks so cool ^^

And the de_forge its sucks.... many many many coridors... fucking labyrinth....

More than anything, I think this displays how much more talented the pros are now than they were back in the early days.

There is no way defenders would act this way in the current age of CS.

exactly.. not too long before this everyone was still jumping around because of the low ingame gravity. The game slowly evolved

Actually everyone was jumping around because you could jump without negative acceleration (hence bunnyjumping) as well as the fact that being mid air didn't affect your bullets.

I understand what you're saying, but the last guy coming in has his knife out for crying out loud.

Additionally, dkt's crosshair management in this video is no where near on par with current players.

Yeah, the game has evolved (both in how it is programmed and in how it is played), but there is no way that 2003-era players could stand up to current players. A decent mid-level CS team at this point has tactics and teamplay that would make 2003 teams shit their pants.

Just my opinion.

So .... not trying to stir the pot, but UGS-i was kind of a shitty league that we just pugged in.

I don't even think I was officially on TAU when this was made ... or if that's even me in there, haha. For you Euros: it was CAL and then UGS-i was a second tier league we played in for practice / fun, like clanbase.

Brian is/was a badass, I'm not trying to take away anything from him. I'm sure he's had much better frags in "serious" matches.

Come on jesuit, everyone knows you are legend. You don't need to discredit this clip or the infamous UGS league. Acing the team that went onto beat NoA @ CPL a few months later (link: http://www.gotfrag.com/cs/demos/8786/ ) is pretty awesome no matter the circumstances.
