Shortly after the match, we got a hold Aleksey "LeX" Kolesnikov and questioned him about the key points to their victory against the Swedish powerhouse that is SK Gaming.
"The first key point is that we've trained really hard. Internet practice doesn't mean much, but when you see you're playing on the same level as top teams, it gives confidence and it's more about championship focus."
"We were motivated, too. Although we only slept five hours after the qualifier yesterday, we are really ready for this tournament."
Asked whether their victory has given them even more confidence, Kolesnikov did not want to take things for granted.
"We're really happy, but this is just one step into the tournament. You can easily start off good, but things can quickly turn to the worse. We're experienced, we've only got one young player, so no, no stupid emotions. We are just movitated to play every game and give it our best."
