According to WCG-Europe.com the games for World Cyber Games' 2012 event have been announced with Counter-Strike: Online included as a promotional title.
This year's event will run from November 29 to December 2 in Kunshan, China and is now expected to host official PC tournaments in FIFA 12 and Crossfire with additional promotional tournaments in Counter-Strike: Online and World of Tanks.

Will we see more CS: Online later this year?
Currently it is unknown whether or not international qualifications will be held for Counter-Strike: Online due to its promotional status and the fact the game is strictly developed for the Asian market.
It is important to note that World Cyber Games still has yet to release any news regarding this year's event since their 2011 edition ended in Busan, South Korea last December.
Retards..

Taiwan also has the CSO,
It's "the most popular FPS Online game" in Taiwan.
90% gamers just play it for fun,
but I think the players who want to be a pro gamer all know the CS' mean of the e-Sports.
Play CSO like play CS 1.6 with 50-60 ping, it's suck,
If the problem WCG can solve I think it's OK.
GG.

Those who're attending the WCG have already gotten a copy of the game and are able to practice. CS-Online have something called "tournament" function, which is basicly the same setup.
They play CS, MR30. No special weapons nor unlocked stuff. The rates doesn't matter since these servers are hosted on LAN. That means Nexon is administrating the servers on spot unlike K1 where the league were playing it on internet servers.
That means, if the servers are runned on LAN, the rate doesn't really affect the gameplay at all since it's still 100 frames per second. Second of all I don't think none of you have understood the game at all.
It's an MMO-FPS game, you can unlock weapons, playing different mods and gameplay. In the tournament format, they play exactly the same as we do when we play 1.6. The only difference is that CS:Online have forced rates so everyone plays on those rates.
There once was a CS:S hosted event (ESWC) where k23 nearly snapped the event. So I'm for this change since it's a new game that could re-vitalize the whole Counter-Strike scene.
Every other word you wrote besides the info regarding the release date, is for me useless.
Tell me please.
It is indeed getting planned to released here in Europe in the nearest future.

I'm not a hotlink site :D
Please provide your source.
Other than that I wish you a good luck to continue in your search. I don't really need to prove anything as you can use google as anyone else?
You got no source critiscism in such detail because you've no idea about the game so please continue opt google in before stating such.
:D
And take the spoon out of your mouth too before you act a hotshot here
From their official press release:
"Nexon Korea will develop and be the exclusive publisher of Counter-Strike Online 2 in Japan, Korea, China and other areas in Southeast Asia. Nexon Korea intends to continue to leverage its proven development expertise and deep understanding of local markets to make Counter-Strike Online 2 one of the leading first-person shooter titles in the region."

It's all a business perspective. I myself aren't a fan of the switch but I'd say it doesn't matter to us others.
Nexon is a close partner to WCG and is one of their strongest financial partners. It's all about interests since WCG is korean-based. Samsung is holding tight connections to the company aswell.
See it from a business point of view, VALVE doesn't support WCG and therefore is actually useless playing game where there're no affiliation.
On the other hand, Nexon is affiliated to WCG since Nexon is a huge gaming company in Korea. So you can actually figure things out why CS:O comes in and 1.6 out. What surprizes me is that the switch comes now and not before, I'd say probably because ESL & Co decided to remove the game from the tournaments.
Your are right
and I would say: Fuck WCG
and #138
Peace on you, I'm just a copycat hater =D
That's technically wrong.
Lower rates, lower computations par seconds, disregarding how many frames the client displays.
If you honestly think and claim that pros can play on LAN with rates @ 30, and won't see the difference, believe me you are mistaken.
When navi whent to china they told those rates failed.

ironically
NO CS1.6 NO WCG
WCG 2012 = 0 cs spectators
Rating 2011 = 50 points
Rating 2012 = 0 points

same things all the time , diferent rounds just like in chess ! so dont make new games ,try to delete whats good and stuff, cuz when someome says Counter Strike - all people get 1.6 in their mind :) cheers !
And i really agree, we should do a European Cyber Games, where we would have on the main stage games like COUNTER STRIKE 1.6 (FOREVER), dota2, lol, not so called games like cs:o or cs:go, i would rather play cs promod or cz or cs:s
.!. WCG .!.
And crossfire? Wtf do you hope to achieve with that? 1k viewers max in the final?

Seems legit.
What difference at all is there between this game and 1.6 when you're playing in tournament mode? Nothing at all right? Except some basic tournament options stuff perhaps.
What the fuck?
This is a news which make us sad.But we have not idears for this.According to the show of Na'Vi in K1 and the feeling when I play CSO,I think WCG make a fault decide.
Do you remenber the CPL - CGS?
