I doubt anyone here would even donate %1 out of the blue if they didn't had heard about this association through Steelseries, campaigns like this expose associations and might lead to an increase of donations.
I think you're right. This is a classic case of you help me I help you. Both of these companies/foundations can help eachother. Steelseries is helping the breast cancer charity and the charity is helping steelseries. It's give and take and I don't see anything wrong with it.
is 10% a very low percentage for donation? yes it is.
but tell me, what did you already do to help "The Breast Cancer Research"? how much money did you already donate to them?
ofc Steelseries is looking for the money, but THEY ARE helping that foundation not just with the money, but also making them be a little bit more known by using Stellseries' name
Starcraft 2, where being awfully bad and have depresing results (EG players) gets you on adds
are they really expecting male gamers (easily 90% of the gameer population) to buy PINK headsets? IMHO they should make a creamy red version for males or something like dat.
"Gamers" also means people who play browser games and people who play mobile phone games(WCG HEROES probably). I think the SteelSeries Siberia v2 audience is a bit different mate ;)
people fake the stats on everything to direct the consumist masses to the direction they want to (which is to keep buying stuff).
from my own experience women couldn't hit 15% of the attending crowd of any event I went to, the % of women that would buy headsets is much lower and the % of women that would like to buy a sexist headset is even lower.
Pink is in no way a girlish color. Boys were wearing pink in 1920s, and blue was considered a female color. It was when feminist movement started, that they adopted pink color as their representation. Pink is actually a strong color, not soft.
too low the 10% , they want money imo and i think they use this disease to get more $$$...but anyway gonna continue buying their products , cause i like them , maybe when im gonna become a gayfag im gonna get these headsets too
i bet alot of basement dwelling 13yr olds are going to jerk off to anna talking about boobs, after they complain about how steelseries is all about money tho...
