nEophyte miss GameGune

Despite of our earlier news post about nEophyte planning to attend GameGune, the team has been forced to miss the event due to not receiving an invitation.

Shortly after posting the news about nEophyte planning on attending GameGune 2012 which will be held at Bilbao Exhibition Centre on July 26-29, the organizers contacted HLTV.org to let us know nEophyte will not be able to attend.

Another team from the region that wanted to attend GameGune 2012 but did not receive an invitation is BEASTS, who were seeking a spot for the tournament but apparently were too late.

This year's event will only feature sixteen teams in the Counter-Strike tournament as opposed to 32 from the previous years. According to organizers, GameGune has already handed out all 16 invitations.

We already published a list of the first eight invitations on the weekend and the Spanish event plans to announce the remaining teams later on this week. According to Virtus.pro's website, they will be one of the teams in attendance.

Why? Most of the HLTV admins seem to be active on twitter and often post CS-related things, if you use twitter you might want to follow them, nothing wrong with that at all.

kills the innovation and formation of future teams.
