After a month and a half of testing and searching, Spanish organization Karont3 announced their new lineup tonight. Arturo "sukitRon" Gil, who was in charge of putting the team together, brought in four members of DkH to complete the lineup which will take part in GameGune and ICS.
In mid-May we reported that Karont3 is looking to create a new professional team when they organized a competition to select the candidates. Arturo "sukitRon" Gil's squad einheit came out on top and he was given the task of putting together a lineup that will represent the organization.
Gil tested many players in EPS Spain IX, while leading the team to the semi-finals with a 1.33 rating, but in the end the decision was to make an international team. The players that are brought in all come from DkH squad that is currently sitting on top of EPS Germany Summer with 6 wins in 6 matches, and interestingly all of them hail from different nations.
Karont3's new lineup is:
Arturo "sukitRon" Gil Chris "chrisJ" de Jong Marco "fai" Sinato Johannes "'tabseN" Wodarz Nikola "LEGIJA" Ninić
The team also announced that should CS:GO become popular, they wouldn't mind switching to that version of Counter-Strike. Their arguably most known player, Chris "chrisJ" de Jong, who visited numerous major tournaments in the past year, stated the following for the team's website:
"After some promising results in the German EPS and an invite to GameGune in our pockets, it is time for our team to make the next step. We will continue playing under the Spanish flag of Karont3 and of course we hope to keep getting good results in CS1.6, but at the same time we are not afraid to look further on the horizon, mostly in the direction of CS:GO. We are hoping on a fun and productive time within this organization, and I'm confident we can make this happen. Shout-out to Karont3 for giving us this chance and see you on GameGune! Greetz!"
chrisJ mounts a new challenge in Karont3
Due to ESL rules, Gil will have to play with his old teammates at the EPS Spain semi-finals this coming weekend, while it is still unsure if he will be able to join his new teammates in EPS Germany before next season. That means that DkH will finish out the Summer 2012 edition in their previous composition, including Timo "xeni" Mangold as their fifth member.
However, we will have a chance to see the new lineup of Karont3 in action very soon in Inuria Championship Summer, as well as later this month at GameGune, as the team confirmed they received an invitation from the organizers of the Spanish event.
Karont3 also prepared this neat presentation video of their new team:
Why do organisations bother? The game is going to be completely dead in 2 months, although they did mention about changing to CS:GO so it isnt all bad.
broken puzzle, why?
Legija, fai and tabseN speak german perfectly. Chris plays with them in the EPS and it works. Only sukitron is the new one. Don't get your point =)
so? neo is the best player of ESC? everyone has its role, all equally important. this is a team game. and btww sukitron usually puts a great amount of frags, so they are gaining lot of firepower with him
yeah but they did not play with suki yet (official matches), so I think the statement 1man army can be considered adequate so far.
and ofcourse everybody has roles, but that does not mean everybody is equally skilled.
even taking roles into consideration chrisJ has been a one man army in any team he has been in in the past few years, and it was not too different so far in dkh, although there are some really good players in there (fai and now suki too, are potentially int. stars).
still priestland was not "way off" with his statement :p
