eSrael drops Wikipediots
eSrael has decided to drop the Danish team who have again surfaced under the name Wikipediots and are looking for backing to attend GameGune.
Although eSrael has been busy lately with various online tournaments where they showed promising results, they were forced to miss DreamHack Summer due to school and later on their star player Martin "trace" Heldt departed the team for fnatic.
Now just three weeks before GameGune 2012 is set to kick off at Bilbao Exhibition Centre, their organization eSrael has decided to stop supporting the Danish team who are now forced to look for other sponsorships.
Xyp9x & co looking for a new sponsorship
According to Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth, the team is open to offers for just GameGune or also for a longer period of time, citing their interest in attending events such as FireCore and ASUS Final Battle of the Year which they qualified for.
Wikipediots:
The team has not yet decided on a new player, instead opting to weigh their options while waiting for Inuria Summer Championship. They now go by the name Wikipediots once again and if you're interested in partnering up with them, you can reach them via e-mail.

Such a shame I don't think this whole cs dying thing is down to anything but how society is moving the era of a desktop pc is dying we see tablet gaming and Kinect like technology taking over. Generations coming through feel the pc represents dinosaur technology when they see that mouse and keyboard eyes are rolling.

Generations of gaming has changed yes, though it is ignorant to claim that PC gaming has gone down the drain. At present most console developers have dropped consoles and have come back to PC due to a lot of the market. PC gaming has also become a lot stronger in terms of technology and sheer graphics.

The problem you have moving forward is I cannot see a parent for example spending £500 on a gaming desktop against £200 for an xbox unless the kid is a major nerd. Especially the Xbox you never see a f2p game on the Xbox.

Nobody has changed their focus from consoles to pcs. A game like Crysis, is not even affordable, because most pc-users pirate it. You see more exclusive titles for XBOX and PS3, where is our HALO, GoW, MGS and Final Fantasy (All games whose budgets are higher than summer blockbusters).
No big developers are completely focusing on the PC markets unless it is an RTS or MMORPG (SC2, Guild Wars 2 etc.) title, we even see developers like Valve focusing on the consoles. The traditional pc-market will eventually die and people will prefer tablets for business and consoles for gaming. Especially with cloud-gaming right around the corner.
Many people say Diablo III is of low quality compared to what we used to get, the same goes with CS:GO, which is made by outhouse developers much like most expansion packs in the old days. PC titles like GTA (6 month pre-release on PS3 and Xbox), CoD (no modding support) and others are now console titles first and pc-titles next.

Are you giving any sources on any of these above claims? I watch a lot of gaming news and follow people like Totalbiscuit which is up to date to a lot of sources and it has become quite clear that the PC market is leading the way. Please let's avoid personal opinion on this matter.

I think we should difference between "casual-gamers", "gamers" and "hardcore-gamers". Because went you count everybody who plays Mah-jong and Solitaire, the pc numbers will win, the problem is just that 50%-60% of pc-gamers are these players (your mom and grandma). The rest can be considered gamers or hardcore gamers. A anticipated game like Diablo III only sells 6.3m, where console games like CoD sell 11.2m and Mario Kart Wii for Wii sells 32,2m (only taking not bundled games in to comparison).
We have hardcore games, who support the indie-marked. And then we have a lot of gamers who just buys all the new stuff. They could be console-gamers because they will end up buying the same eventually.

Although keep in mind CoD is a multi platform game and e-sports generally is based around PC games, so hardcore gamers generally prefer PC games.

This decision is quite strange tho to be honest, but as far as I know, Michael (eSrael CEO) won't drop such a team without a really good reason - which means they probably didn't pracc or did something else ... but he's also very reckless, so I don't really know what to think.
With and without trace they were great, adding an amazing 5th such as minet / suraNga / Snappi / Nuggi etc. would make this team as good as before.
