ReC season two announced

Season two of the Romanian eSports Championship has been announced to start in September with a 3,000€ prize purse and the organizers expect a minimum of 150 participating teams.

The first season since the name change concluded back in May. IGG beat TeG in the grand final to be the first winners fo ReC, taking home 1,100€.

PGL, the organizers of ReC, have now announced season two, and signups are open from today and will close on September 1.

The prize purse for the season is 3,000€ and is provided by the league sponsor Romtelecom.

1. 1,110€
2. 700€
3. 500€
4. 300€
5-8. 100€

Season two will begin on September 8 and is expected to end with season finals on December 15-16.

There is no limit of participanting teams this season and the organizers are expecting a minimum of 150 teams. There will be a total of 15 divisions and you will as previously be able to follow division A right here on HLTV.org.

in the last season was 168 teams:)....i think in romania are over 1000 teams proffesional...and non-pro...The only issue is that we don't have sponsors..

Not quite that impressive. Almost 3/4 out of those teams are made like
"hey bro I is going to play in pEGLE, want to join?"

"sure bro but what about rest of the team"

"not to worrie you me, +3 on irc or + 3 of my steam friends"

The teams are not sponsored, the teams are not stable, and my GOD the teams are full of 14'yo kids that only weight their achievements by how good they are in "CESE" as all those suffering little brats call CS1.6 here.

I still think its impressive, I know theres a lot of teams who change roster per match. Compared to other countries, I don't think anyone can match the amount of teams.

I know what you mean, but even if it is mixteams or teams yet the amount of them is huge!

Here in israel we have something like 30 teams including mixteams pretty lame i know.
and only 3 big organizations.

@bendover,i would say half of the teams are made like that,but some of them may succeed,and age,why does it matter,maybe some of them will grow and become very good players
about the suffering,yes,that is mostly true,but it fades away while growing up :)

hope it will be a memorable [last] season,depending on the future happenings

There are allot of talented and gifted players in our country , unfortunately we lack sponsors and ideas of how to promote esport that`s why players who really are talented loose interest and they just play for fun :)

I really don`t think CS:GO will have an impact on oldschool players if you know what i mean w0rm1 :P , most probably CS:GO will be played by the new upcoming generation :PPP

Wow. 150 teams is ridiculously much. Does this have something to do with the internet/computers only now becoming a standard in the country, and the country just picking up a game that is easy to run in masses? Or how come that they are expecting those numbers?

We become ignorant when we see 12yo kids saying "stfu i'm pegele" even if they can't frag in a random gather (and unfortunately half of D players /~250/ are this type of kids). That is why PGL has many haters. Not because of the organisation, or because of the admins or rules or etc, but because of the kids.

don't be impressed by the number .... its 90% shit players ..and the rest are either too old to play the game at a pro level since they have a job,
or they are young, talented but have an unprofessional attitude twards the game (70% of teg players from recent years) .... and the lack of sponsors plus the imminent death of 1.6 wont be helping much ....

the only true dedicated players where from the old teg and eq lineups, but eq died when Dece cheated in esl balkan (they actually had a salary then ...) , and teg just got too old to compete

If u watch PGL clasament there are 158 teams :) which name is known ;) and still the same from years , not all obv.
Steam friends come just for money and to have a name when they play on public servers [ O i'm in PGL , i killed k1d0r and Wicked] ;) and they will leave fast the competition!
