North American ESWC qualification has been announced in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for Canada and United States.
The qualification process will begin with an online stage which will see two participants advance to the finals with a paid trip, held in the tournament sponsor Plantronics GameCom's booth at PAX Prime on August 31-September 2 in Seattle, WA.
Participating in the online qualifiers is free and anyone can sign up at eswc.gamecom.plantronics.com, as long as they meet the nationality requirements,which for ESWC have traditionally been 60% of the team, are met.

CS:GO will see two teams invited with an additional two teams decided through the qualifier. The event at PAX Prime will feature a four team tournament with the winner receiving a paid trip to the ESWC 2012 grand finals at Paris Game Week in the French capital on October 31-November 4.
Each team that signs up will furthermore receive beta keys for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive to make sure they are able to compete. The final qualifier will be played out in the retail version of the game.
