First matches at GameGune 2012 finally went under way around 18:30 with DELTA defeating k1ck in an interesting clash on de_train with a 16-10 scoreline, while fnatic made light work of their WebOne opener, 16-2 on de_dust2.

After a three and a half hour delay at GameGune 2012 due to network issues, Group A finally began with a match between k1ck and DELTA on de_train.

Despite of a solid CT side start for the Polish team, being up 6-2, k1ck made their way back into the game and at half time even took the lead 8-7. Going into the second half, the Portuguese squad took the pistol-round and it seemed they were about to ease into their first win.

However, DELTA's deagle buy in the second round turned out to be a turning point in the match, as after they evened the score, the Poles went on to win the match 16-10 with a surprisingly successful T side.

In the other match of Group A, fnatic easily went over the French squad WebOne with a 16-2 result after starting as terrorists on de_dust2.

Group B matches were supposed to start at the same time, but Sergey "starix" Ischuk's PC had to be replaced, delaying Na`Vi's match against Miticos, and x6tence vs. Karont3 was delayed due to some network problems.

After these matches, the second round pairs of Group A are now known. fnatic will battle with DELTA for the top spot of the group, while k1ck and WebOne will decide who gets to stay in the tournament for at least another match.
