Na`Vi and DELTA top x6tence, k1ck

Natus Vincere has topped group B at GameGune 2012 with a 16-12 win over x6tence. Meanwhile, DELTA defeated k1ck once again in the decider match of group A 16-9 on de_train.

x6tence started strong as counter-terrorists as they won the opening pistol round and Na`Vi's save round for a 2-0 lead. The Ukrainians fought back and tied the game, but a big three kill by Jesús "oFF" Castillo García propelled x6tence to go up 5-2. Natus Vincere got into the game from there and scored six of the last eight rounds.


DELTA and fnatic advance from group A while k1ck head home early 

Second half started with the Ukrainians winning the pistol round to score an early lead. They went up 6-0 before x6tence fought back, bringing the score to 12-15 in favor of Yegor "markeloff" Markelov's team. However, Danilo "Zeus" Teslenko's one-versus-one win against Antonio "FlipiN" Rival del Rey pushed his team over the top to win 16-12.

At the same time DELTA took on k1ck in a rematch on the same map as their previous game to determine who would advance as the second team in group A after fnatic. As opposed to the previous game, this time the initial half favored counter-terrorists as DELTA went up 11-4.

For a while it looked like k1ck could mount a comeback as Ricardo "foxj" Pacheco's team won the first four rounds, but DELTA fought back and scored five rounds to win 16-9 and advance to the playoffs which start tomorrow at 11:00.

Matches still continue in Bilbao until late tonight as the entire group stage will be finished before matches stop unless the schedule is changed radically. That would mean four more groups of Counter-Strike tonight.

DELTA deserved it, k1ck played bad. The k1ck we saw last week in SS SumerCup in Portugal and the k1ck we saw today seemed totally different teams. Maybe it was the pressure but it's their fault and I'm pretty disappointed.

Well Fallen is a pretty damn good player, and i don't say there isn't alot of brasilian fanboys out there. But often they stick to the brasilian colors even tho shit happens, even if their team sucks and so on.

Btw. im half danish and half brasilian, and i actually live in Denmark so i am pretty much fan of every danish and brasilian team. But i don't run around putting blame on anyone els if "my" teams doesn't make the cut.

I love this group system but there's one thing missing. Something that prevent teams to play twice on the same map.

Hardly believe DELTA could win k1ck twice if the second map was any other one. And yes, I know both teams pretty well.

There is something to prevent teams to play twice on the same map. It's called map eliminating, you know, both teams ban 1 map until 1 map is left.
