Upper semis moved to Saturday

Game: Counter-Strike 1.6

As you might have noticed, day two of GameGune 2012 has delay too and this has made the organizers move the upper bracket semi-finals to Saturday morning.

Due to multiple issues with PCs, day two has built up some significant delay too. Originally scheduled to take place today at 23:00, the organizers have now moved the upper bracket semi-finals to Saturday morning at 10:15.

The lower bracket will continue as far as possible tonight, but complaints have already ticked in from teams regarding this call.

At this time it is not known what match will be the last today, or when we will finish for that matter.

fail organization this year :S
2012-07-27 21:29:39
can you do better :S?
2012-07-27 21:30:22
this has nothing to do with him...he's got a point...
2012-07-27 21:31:41
you think it's that easy? we did a cs tournament in our school and bealive me it was only 8 teams and it was pritty hard to do it. So don't blame org. it is a great tourney.
2012-07-27 21:43:43
Me and 5 more guys organized a cyber games tournmanet at our university featuring 6 different games with 6 LOL and 10 CS teams among those!
It went flawlessly without a lot of problems and everything finished about 30m later than expected!

I'm not saying that it's easy, but even a dumbass could've done a better job...I mean the admins were retarded at best...in-game restarts(yes, plural), server crashes etc!

2012-07-27 21:55:22
Go organize your own tournamet, If that "dumbasses" were able to gather sponzors then for genius like you it should be easy. I realy look forward for your tournament, sir.

1. It's a fail organization this year! They deserve to be criticized, they no excuses for the million of things going wrong!
According to your logic everybody should shut up and never criticize anything/anyone and settle for mediocracy!
2. Why the fuck should I waste time and money into organizing a tournament that most likely won't benefit me at all ?
3. I don't need to organize a tournament to know that I can do a better job than them in certain areas!
4.Fuck off!

Man wake up did you notice how many events remaining in our cs year? Yeah it's quite few. Now imagine you trying your best at organization but there are few fails and problems and then read on hltv.org about how you're worst organizators in the world from some ungrateful fuckers. I doubt they profit from this event (maybe something yes but not totaly worth this comments). Please don't be mad my fellow player.

Edit: "Why the fuck should I waste time and money into organizing a tournament that most likely won't benefit me at all ?" They don't profit too much at all and they are still doing this they still trying to carry 1.6 alive and do something for it. There is no surprise 1.6 is dying if you need profit to organize some competition. Don't get me bad but we shouldn't complain and be humble&grateful for something.

Yes, there's only a few events left!
I'd rather have 1 thing done right, than 2-3 fuck-ups !
GG has been organized for so many years now, I don't they're gonna drop it because someone criticized them for something they did wrong!
I have no idea about their profits and I don't care much, cause the prizes have been kept status quo for so many years now!
I'm not mad, I'm just pointing out the obvious!

I don't have the money to organize such a tournament ofc I'd want to get sth back from it!

Lastly, I'm 100% sure that all the 1.6 fans and players are grateful for the event, but that don't doesn't mean that we should pretend that everything's perfect!

Hope you get my point!

pics on your tourney, or it didn't happen.
2012-07-28 06:43:49
yay another retard defending the lame organization trying to shut me up with the overused "pics or it didn't happen"
Couldn't you come up with something better?
Or wait you can't, you're too narrow minded and stupid to perceive that what I was trying to say makes sense and any average smart person would agree to it !
2012-07-28 12:07:22
One of the retards bashing over a small mistake...Can't you come up with proof, rather than trying hard to be an internet know-it-all, posting unnecessary trash trying to prove a point and 'make yourself a little tougher'? you're the one who's narrow minded, because instead of criticizing, why don't you just, uhm, instead help? all you did there was, whine. To sum it all up, you, your ancestors, Macedonians, in general, are more lame than GameGune 2012, hey aren't you ashamed that ENTiTY took part on that event. Hahahaha, I repeat, pics or it didn't happen.

Bashing over a small mistake?

Different monitors at which nearly none of the players trained!

Major delays...I mean I get that, 1h is nothing bad for an esports event, but 5-6h? That's just crazy!

Problems with the internet (happens at other events too)...they had trouble establishing a connection at the beginning, the probable reason for this being that they probably started LATE with the preparations!

Retarded admins (no need for further comments, in all my years of following cs I don't remember problems like this one)!

Then how are we lame? You're generalizing a whole nation on God knows what! Remember I didn't say that Spanish people suck, I merely said that the organizers are bad this year, no matter where they're coming from!

Why should we be ashamed of ENTiTY?
It's their first non-Balkan tournament for which they paid themselves to attend! Other than SEC/WCG and Kode5(2009, with almost completely different line-up)!

They did pretty well, they defeated Giants, and if little hadn't gotten lukcy in the 29th round at tuscan they probably would've beaten znation 2-0! They haven't done anything that we should be ashamed of!

Well when GameGune decides to stop featuring 1.6, you can go ahead and complain all you like about the delays being the end of your world.
2012-07-27 22:04:04
What? I don't give a fuck if there's a tournament or not. Bad orga is still bad, that's the point here
2012-07-27 22:19:05
To be honest I didn't miss anything, everything I wanted to watch I watched, so nothing really bothered me overall, escept the waiting of course in some places...

Due to its schedule this year extending over the night, just like DH, thus dreamhacking the players (et al) ;P

Not sure what DreamHack you have been following, but no matches were moved to the next day this year. GameGune on the other hand, has had this messed up schedule/delay for two years in a row now.

I didn't refer to any match moving but meant to say that due to this year's delay (last year's one, well, shit happens) makes it look more like a Dreamhack stop than GameGune itself.

EDiT: And before you misunderstand me regarding 'delays at DH' I refer obviously to the nightly schedule ;P

Or re-read it calmly afterwards as I do not know why and where you got lost xD

Maybe I will have to change to schemes the next time (no offense :P)

GG + Delays = Dreamhack stop + nightly schedule

At least they keep their "names" so to speak xD

But, as I pointed out in my first message, with this delays GG nearly turned into something like a DH stop.
Even though I am not sure if the stops feature a nightly schedule like the main event does.

Feel sorry for GG organizers! Bad preparation despite having months to do it! GL anw
